Yes, its a scam. The check will be counterfeit which you will not discover until you have already shipped the merchandise. Never accept a check from somebody you don't personally know. Please read: www.fakechecks.org Other indications of a scam or the fact that the "buyer" claims to be deaf so that you can't speak to him and potentially figure out the scam.

Unfortunately, no. These scammers use aliases, free email addresses, and more importantly, they are in different legal jurisdictions. Even if you could identify them you would have to depend on legal authorities in the countries they dwell in to arrest and prosecute them. The only solution is educating and warning the public to the scam.

Ok I give people like you alt of respect and y'all should have commercials or something to warn people about scams because its hard to lose chunks of money when your living pay check to paycheck. So if theres anyway to make scams a more recognized problem to the community I think there be less of these low life's stealing hard earned money from unaware citizens.

Thank you. By posting the email address of the scammer and the scam format you will help warn someone else who will avoid the scam.

Unfortunately, this, just like most antifraud sites out there, is entirely run and operated by unpaid volunteers. There is no such thing as a budget for publicity, but plenty of room for community effort;

Speak about the scams and how they work with your family and friends. Lead them to sites such as ours so that they too, may learn about them and talk to others. This way, more people know, less chances of being scammed.

"Silence is a scammer's best friend, knowledge, his worst enemy"
