i recieved an email from microsoft-yahoo online lottery promptions saying i had won the sum of 500,000.00 GBP they even when as far as to tell me what it was in canadian dollars 1,143,989.14 and wanted me to pay 1,697.07 to them to get my winning check .this is bull rite this is a scam i would really like to know if there is such a lottery thank you

This is a complete and guaranteed scam. There is no such thing as the "microsoft-yahoo online lottery" - both companies have confirmed time after time that they are not involved, nor do they ever sponsor, lotteries of any kind.
Please do not send them anything - no information, no money, nothing. Delete the email and all others like it that you may receive.

This is a total scam, for many reasons that have already been documented in these forums.
The best suggestion would be to simply ignore it, and delete it. Please do not reply, or send any identifying information as this may well be used for identity theft.
There is no such thing as an "electronic" or "email based" lottery; any such emails that you receive are all scams.

"Mr Sidwell" is just the same scammer, using a different email account. So of course he's going to say it is true!
You cannot trust anyone who you are referred to by the original email.
There is no such thing as a Yahoo or MSN lottery.

You called the number that the scammers originally sent you... of course they are going to say it's true. The number they give you on their emails is their own phones (or redirection services), and are not in any way related to any official phone numbers.
Remember: any emails that are sent by the scammers will contain telephone numbers. These belong to the scammers and no-one else! If you call those numbers, you will be talking directly to the criminals! Do not expect them to tell you the truth!!! |
