Thumbs up One year Fraudwatchers!

Well, I'm not 100% sure but whatever...

If I recall correctly, more or less 1 year ago, the founding members and developers of Fraudwatchers opened Fraudwatchers for the public. Operated entirely by volunteers, it has grown to a site that attracts dozens of netizens per day (and it's still growing). An uncountable number of people informed themselves about the 419scam and other frauds and we were certainly able to prevent that quite a few people were being scammed.

Some members left, new members arrived, other drawbacks appeared now and then and we surely had a few heated conflicts (that certainly happens in every group that works as close together on such a topic) in our community. Nonetheless, Fraudwatchers has developed into something that I've never expected.

Kudos to everyone involved, get yourself a beer or two and tap yourself onto the shoulder!

Fraudwatchers was a dream, a vision and a quest. A new world was built, a new world grew and flourished, a new world survived despite the doubters and those who would throw rocks and scoff at us.

Kudos to FW Admin
Kudos to Ansett
Kudos to Crux Polaris
Kudos to Trainmaster
Kudos to Daneel

... and so many many more...

But Kudos to you, the poster, the enquirer, the helper and the advisor. Kudos to the unsung heros, the police, the hosters, the banks, the lawyers... all who help us in so many ways. Without all of you this site and its success would pale into insignificance. I am proud to be associated with this site, and look forward to many more years of dealing blows to the scurge called Internet Scams in the name of FRAUDWATCHERS!

Happy Birthday FW!!!!!

The FraudWatchers vision was born last year, out of a specific need that had to be addressed... the vision grew, with the help of many friends and supporters over two months until, on November 25th 2005, fraudwatchers.org was launched to the public.

Since that time, we have received over three and a half million hits, we have over 2,000 members, and we have the best support people in the world. We have been the major positive focus of news items, and the source for many articles published both on the internet and in the public media.

As stated, most of all, the thanks goes out to everyone who has contributed to the information published on this site; the members, the support group users, the moderators, my co-admins, our fantastic law enforcement contacts, banking and financial institutions, business and commercial executives and directors, and all our supporters who have taken the time and effort to make the public more aware of these frauds and scams.

As well as those mentioned above, a very special thanks to John Fairheart, who assembled, researched and produced all the News Articles that were posted on the site and in the forums; who collated all factual items for the benefit of all our visitors and members.

Thank you one and all
