We've received a report about yet another postal scam involving a Canadian "sweepstakes" featuring forged checks.

The mailing will contain a letter, check, and phone number to call for instructions, as most postal sweepstakes/lottery scams do.

The letter or check may contain the following addresses and other information:

SKYLINE COMMUNICATIONS,
2433 MARINE DRIVE,
WEST VANCOUVER,
CANADA V7V1L3.

THE PHONE NUMBER IS 1-604-729-0493, YOU MAY SPEAK TO PETER JOHNSON OR DAVE RICHARDS. COREY BLAKE IS SUPPOSEDLY THE MANAGER.

GREATER SEBAGO SERVICES,
DBA SEBAGO DOCK COMPANY,
PO BOX 65, SOUTH CASCO, ME 04077.

The forged check should not be cashed. It should be turned over to police and reported to your local postal inspector.

Keep in mind, in North America, asking for any sort of "advance fee" for a sweepstakes or lottery win is illegal, and you owe taxes to governments, not sweepstakes or lottery companies. Banking the check may result in monetary losses and, possibly, legal troubles.
