Simply cut off all contact. Ignore all emails and texts.

I'm annoyed by all the texts and emails, so I replied. After I emailed them that they are from Texas and can't pick up my pets, they sent me this email, asking me to wire money to a totally different "vet." I put their details here for reference:

Hi
I want you to go ahead and have the check cashed.Deduct the re homing
fee for the fish
and deduct another $100 as your running around expenses.Then have the
rest of the money sent to the vet who's coming for the pick up through

I am replying to your thread to ask what you have done to deal with this situation. My husband and I are going to the bank in the morning to report fraud. and will probably be taking it up with our local news station with a "call for action"

Thank god there are people out there that are not afraid to post information about scams or I would have likely fallen for it!

My husband's employers explained to us that the fund that covers the
vet charges will be included in the check though we've not really
known the actual amount they're sending but We hope it's likely to be
more than $500.I have to let you know all these so that it wouldn't be
a surprise when you receive the check by Thursday.

sharondiaz80@hotmail.com just posted several different dogs for sale on several different sites. Also I received an email that was the exact same as a previous posting on here. Thank you for posting these, save me $250. I knew a shiba inu that cheap was too good to be true

I was almost scammed by this person as well. She told me her husband had died and his employer would be paying the re homing fee, never ever have i heard of something like that, and that pushed my suspicions over the top I was already leery about her with the first generic message I got from her which was from a different e mail (jenniferm246@gmail.com)

Can you post the email addresses and phone numbers you were given too? This is really helpful as it helps others who may be being targetted by the same scammers.

We were emailing and my rehoming fee was 65 dollars. After talking to her though, I told her she could have the dogs for free, because she told me her husband had died and her daughter moved out and she is all alone. She even acted really religous, telling me that God will bless me, because I said that her husband is now resting with him. I told her that I do not want the money, and she kept insisting on it, so finally I did some research on her. Why would she not want them for free?
So I found this website, after I sent the information to put on the check and a phone number, but I just got done telling her/him that I am onto them and that God is watching; and that they should be mighty ashamed of themselves. I do not think it made a moral difference at all, but I do feel a little better because she did not completely scam me. She/he is just about as low as they come. I also read stories of her posting ads and trying to just flat out steal peoples money from right under their noses. That is simply pathetic.

I am so disappointed in your act for not writing back to me since you

I'm sorry you where scammed but you have to understand that these thieves are in Cameroon Africa where scammers operate freely without fear of the local authorities and where the police are more likely to ask for a bribe than actually arrest them.
