Global Sources is not a scam. It has been in business for the past 37 years. Global Sources has been the flag bearer for connecting buyers and suppliers across the globe. Global Sources publishes sourcing trade magazines, an online portal and even organizes trade shows. For more information, please visit us at www.globalsources.com

Exclamation

Don't be so sure

The company that scammed me "Ningbo Fuli Blown Plastics Co.,Ltd" is operating on the platform.
They have been verified too - albeit they do have a one star ranking.

Smile Global Sources - Not a fraud - But...

Hello...

I have been using Global Sources for several years now and purchase many products through excellent companies. You must bear in mind that "Global Sources is just a site that brings together many Companies to advertise their respective products.. Though when deciding on products or which company to work with - the onus is on YOU to do your own "Due Dilligence" and check out the individual companies that you might choose to deal with, and there are many ways to do this, to start with;

Look at there own website
Send your selected companies emails, ask them questions
Request product samples
Ring the company to see if the actual contact details are for real
Send them actual mail to there address asking for a mail reply with letterheaded mail.
Look for company reviews on the web
and the list goes on..
Next month, I will be buying my charity (located in West Africa) a Tractor, so included in my due Dilligence will be a trip to China to visit the Manufactoring Factory and I will follow the process through and if I recieve my goods as promised I will feel more confident to increase my order size and shell out the dollars without being worried..
Ultimatelly, it depends on if your looking for repeat business and how much effort you are willing to invest in relationship building.
Good Luck - I hope this gives you the confidence to try real Internation Business - the reason I shop like this is because I am often buying the exact same product at home (re-badged) for several times the price available in China/Tiawan/India- the "mark-up" in price put on by local companies is not anywhere near reasonable -

Just remember the Golden Rule "Due Dilligence" is your responsibility..

Its a scam!!!

Apparently they are a scam. I was attempting to get a job. I applied and the website where it was posted emailed me stating it was a scam & apologies for allowing them to advertise on there web site. They were deactivated from the websites account. This just happened today Aug. 2 2011.

scam

Globalsources is a scam site. i inquired about a product from the suppliers in that website. the suppliers/manufecturers listed were 14 and i inquired all of them about the rates of the product. My email box was bombarded with 60 + suppliers/manufecturers from whom i never inquired. All of them were giving me competitive rates and all of them are fake.

How can 60 + suppliers know about me whereas i never inquired them .

Well, i ordered my electronic product and sent money to DANA SU, i found that he/she was scam.

Point to remember :
1. Be careful DANA SU is a scam (Details provided below).
2. Globalsource website is fake/scam because when i inquired only 14 suppliers about rates of my product then 60 + fake suppliers contacted me. (Please do not say that globalsource is only intermediate website bla bla bla because why globalsources forwarded my inquiry to 60 + fake/scam suppliers)

GlobalSources is only the third part, it does not involed in real business. If you can find the company website as above, it is very easy to find out this website is very suspicious:

1. On the top left of the website, the company's name is:sz-mingxin Industrial Co. Ltd, the website is:www.sz-mingxin.com, but on the bottom, the copyright is: memory-new.com, which is suspicious too.

2. If you check its domain, you can find the website is just built:

Domain name: sz-mingxin.com

If you paid by Paypal, you may require Paypal refund, and meanwhile, you can report to Globalsources about this scam.

Hi,

Just so no one else makes the mistake I did, do not use global sources I must have had 500 emails in 2 days offering USB's with my company logo, I went with one company and they stung me for 160 US and sent me to a fake courier website with a fake tracking number. Do not use the following:

Alice
Suosi Elektron Industry Co. Limited
Tel: 0086-755-33598150 Mob: 0086-15627488150
E-mail: Alice@suosi-elektron.com
MSN: alice.suosi@hotmail.com
Skype: alice.suosi
Add: 09A Ditingfeng Bulding,Luohu District,Shenzhen,Guangdong,China

If you google them everyone else was also ripped off. I hope these people get their comeuppance!!

GlobalSources.Com is a scam site

I was contacted by several hundreds of so called manufacturers, wholesalers, traders shortly after registering at the site. After careful review, I chose a couple of venders to deal with. Long story short, I have not heard from them after sending the money.

Obviously, the site sold my info to anyone pays money to the scammers. Even verified ones are not safe. I was wondering how one could become “Verified.” All you need to do is go to For Suppliers>>Become a verified supplier, and then pay them $4970 for annual membership to the site. No questions asked. The word "Verified" means that the scammers paid a lot of money to the site so the scammers have to rip you off as much as they can. The website stresses "Do Your Due Diligence." This is nothing more than their convenient way out of trouble.
