Yorkie Scam From North Carolina!

Hello everyone,

After reading all the posts here and much research I've come to see that I've been scammed. I was looking for a yorkie and received hits from a man names Mr. Jones or < debrajonessx@yahoo.com > His addree he gave me was

this is the email that he sent me and I stupidly followed and sent him $450.00 and now I am out a new puppy, the money, and he wont return my phone calls.

"The teacup female and male yorkie puppies are still available i have the male and female ready.Meanwhile the puppies are 9weeks old
now and is weighing 1.6lbs and would weigh between 4lbs at
maturity, vaccination and worming record, an copy of USDA paper,
AKC registration. They are full blood breed from standard AKC
parents.The price for the puppy is $450 the shipping is included in the price.The puppy can be ship to your home or to your nearest airport by delta pets airline or north west airline. if you are interested in the puppy email me your full name and postal
address and phone number so that i can arrange for the shipment.The puppy can be shipped asap .When do you need the puppy?"

He not only insisted that I pay 450.00 ASAP but then insisted that I pay an extra 120.00 for paper name changing!

The puppy was supposed to be sent Aug 25... no puppy yet!

P.S. Could someone please provide me on what actions I could possible take to get my money back!

The only chance to get your money back is to revoke the money transfer which is only possible if the scammer hasn't picked it up (very unlikely). I'm afraid that you'll have to accept that the money is lost forever. It won't help you but you should report the crime anyway to make sure that it at least comes into the statistics (which will hopefully lead to more awareness in law enforcement circles sooner or later).

My wife had been talking with this lady and sounded legit but when they asked to wire money to Cameroon, it was obvious this was BS. she even had the audacity to send her Phony Passport photo to prove she was who she was.

Beware of anyone offering a male and female yorkie for free adoption. I was scammed by the same person as the previous person in North Carolina. The email script she posted was identical to the one I received. She gives a sob story about how she and her husband can no longer care for them in the harsh conditions in Canada where they do research on Mt. Logan. She insists on using Jetpet Canada, in which SHE provides all of the contact info. This is a certifiable scam! Stupid me sent shipping money via moneygram through Walmart. Of course the puppies didnt' make the flight. I was then contacted by Jetpet via telephone and asked to now insure the puppies for another 200.00. At that point I contacted Northwest Airlines to verify the flight schedule for the puppies; no such flight numbers or arrival times existed. It was THEN that I finally started further investigation and found the exact same senario. She still has listings posted on postaroo.com specifically in Tampa, FL. She has multiple email addresses. I did have her listings removed from the listing where I found her in Mississippi.

also found this woman, though didn't send her any money, decided to do a web search and found her here. Emails she sent me were identical to those you received.

I recieved the same info on this lady. SHE IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE HER! I rcvd same e-mail and everything.

Llang, thank you for posting examples of the scam emails. And glad to hear that none of you lost money. It's always a good idea to google someone's name, email address etc in cases like this - it can save a lot of money and heartache in the long run.

I was also almost scammed by this woman, or whatever it is, until my husband did some googling. However, when I was emailing back and forth with her, she went so far as to make a change of ownership certificate, which looked completely fake, but it made me believe her all the more nonetheless.

11-28-07 same almost hapen to me 10 days a go.i got the same letter. had forwarded Stephanie a e mail got form the so called jetpet canda@outgun.com.an she still tring but she cann't keep up with herself.my email to her on 11-24 was so you aren't who you say you are! on 11-27 i got mail from Stephanie said their computer was down.will she ever stop?

I would like to report my case JUST IN CASE other innocent guys won't be deceived by these piece of ****.

They introduced them named "Subi" and after I sent information request, the guy who says I am a husband of puppie's owner sent me following mail with cute puppie's photos.

You see now.These guys are really goofy.
You can see MANY wrong trap on this mail but you should find it by yourself.
(I don't want to give these scammers any hint how I noticed.)

However, I would like to say some tips here to reduce the possible victims in the future.

1-If they are REAL SOUND company (breeders/transporters,.etc).They should accept credit card.
2-NEVER EVER send money grams or check as long as you don't know who they are as a real person.
3-Quality air cargo usually NEVER accept transporting live animals w/o the attendance of owner on the same flight.
4-ALWAYS check their address on the google map.
5-"IF" they don't open up further info about themselves, just quit correspondence.
6-REPORT what happened FBI, not local police(FBI has state by state local FBI office and forward your call for fraud division in Washington D.C.).
7-Any money gram transfer etc,. can be canceled instantly and 100% of money you spent (include transfer charge) will be refund as long as they are not grabbing your money.
8-Check their phone number or mail address suffix. It may come up on the list of fraud warning.
9-Try pick up RELIABLE breeders. Nothing may be more expensive than FREE OFFER.
10-May god punish these pathetic piece of **** in the near future.

Lastly, even after I noticed these scam, they continuously sent me this mail. I was just giggling lol

Did the animal arrive from another country by plane, have you gained importation authority from your local customs officals and where is the animal now?

The post above yours is a typical scam format, if you have had communications such as the one above, then you won't have a pet yet because it won't exist.

I'm thankful you all have posted the Yorkie scams because I was almost a victim. I received an email from Melissa Dowell who wanted my exact address where she could send the pup. That's when I became suspicious! After questioning her on why she wanted to ship a dog to the airport, and then needed my address, she would never respond. Now I fully understand why after reading all the info everyone has provided.
