Copy of document posted here

INDEX of all U.N. & USAID Job Scams

We would like to issue a warning about a USAID / USAAID / EU employment programs being posted on various educational websites.

A USAID representative has forwarded details of this scam to Fraudwatchers. It has been circulating for some time and many universities have already removed the fraudulent document.

As with other scamming employment programs, this one uses a free anonymous Fax2Email service based in Seattle, and either free webmail such as MSN and Yahoo, or a free anonymous re-directing email service hosted in Sao Torme. (Double-dot email addresses)

We have found several related post which share identical fax numbers and/or email addresses:

Dr.Bruce Lampard (fraudulent IIED-USA job offer)

Paula Hoffman (fraudulent UNDP job offer)
Duke Simon (EU job scam)

Some of the wording in their scam offer is identical to the fraudulent IAFAO job offer which points to the same criminals. They have also scammed other programs such as Save The Children.

The real USAID web site is at: www.usaid.gov therefore, any legitimate USAID emails will be from "@usaid.gov". Beware of obfuscated addresses with double-dots. USAID job listings are posted at: http://www.usaid.gov/careers/ where you can read: "USAID uses no agents to hire civil service or foreign service employees. USAID never asks for cash or payment of any kind as a part of the hiring process."

The scammers sometimes mention a real USAID address such as info@usaid.gov to seem legitimate but it is always accompanied by a request to contact them through one of the fake ones mentioned above. Along with their anonymous fax numbers.

The EU job scam contact email: europeanunion@w3.to is a v3 redirecting service and the scammers appear to have setup a website with their v3 account at: http://www.europeanunion.w3.to which is in fact a simple redirection to EU's real website http://www.eurunion.org/ This is to give credence to their email address. We have asked v3 to shut down their subscription.

These scams are apparently originating from Lagos Nigeria. An excellent source on the subject is available on Joe Wein's web site at:
