I found about these scam offers after I send my passport copy and my signature on "the contract". There is somebody which did the same thing? What happened right now? I wasn't asked me about money or something else yet, because I still wait the answer

Well its a scam. The contract is unenforceable. They will use your passport in their scams, to pick up money perhaps or to send to other potential victims to convince them they are "real". You should contact the agency that issued your passport and get another one issued.

Hi, We just received emails from SPDC exactly the same as the one posted here as well. We submitted back the completed document with my passport copy and photo. Now, they replied with the appointment letter as shown below and most recently an email from Barrister Goodluck Ubaka, Immigration attorney mandated by SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY. I am already in doubt about the offer as there has been no phone interview conducted and the offer is so huge that no one can say NO. Anyway, when we googled their phone number +234-702642948, it appears in the list of Scam phone numbers. Before they can victimize another innocent person, we are posting here their most recent SCAM.

If you read through the thread you will see that they refer "successful applicants" to a fake attorney or fake immigration agency to pay for imaginary visas, work permits and insurance for the imaginary job. That's the advance fee. If the victim pays, then another phony fee will pop up and so on an so forth until the victim realizes they're being scammed as, of course, there is no job.

Unforutnately I sent them my resume before finding out it was a scam. Hopefully it's not a big problem because I have nothing other than a phone number on there and apparently they already had my email address. The phone number is my landline that I rarely if ever use so easy enough to just turn it off.

After I sent my resume I got the second letter saying I had been approved for a position and all the other stuff others have posted. Needless to say when you go from sending a resume to receiving a "job offer" in a couple of hours red flags went up. That's when I started googling like crazy and found this site.

Thanks for all your efforts in keeping me out of trouble. I guess my spam box in my email account will get a bit busy but if that's the worst of it I can live with that.

Its fortunate that you didn't provide financial information, as that would be more of an issue.

I thought this was to good to be true so I looked around on the net and found so many people saying the same thing but with different names so I had to add this one so people know to watch out for this type of scam

• SPDC shall provide you access to some of the finest social and recreational facilities in Nigeria.
- SPDC will provide the employee with comprehensive health care for the terms of contract and follow-on care for injuries suffered during the term of contract for employee and family if on family statue.
- Complete meals for you as deemed appropriate.
1. A $3.200.00 US dollars flat rate travel / entertainment allowance shall be paid by your employer for each international trip. Travel shall be by business / first class. However for the purpose of commencement, the cost of travel ticket shall be paid in addition to travel / entertainment allowance. Cost shall be substantiated and shall be the rate charged at the period / time of employees. Travel ticket including that of employees’ family only on employees’ early notification to employer and as shall be requested by employee.
Employee shall also be entitled to maximum security including members of the state security service in housing community.
The employee will be reimbursed by the employer for reasonable moving expense incurred only as a result of relocation or early termination of leases, storage charges: procurement of travel documents, immunization etc. Reimbursements shall be paid not more than five (6) working days from submission of report / and receipt as proof of payments.
Your work schedule is rotational; that is, you will work onsite for 28 days and then will be off for 28 days.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

Save as otherwise specifically stated in a super ceding document, the project administrator of PARTY A, shall maintain general administration and management of this contract on behalf of PARTY A and all correspondences relating or pertaining with this agreement should be made, forwarded, addressed to same.
o PARTY B / EMPLOYEE agree to indemnify PARTY A in respect of any third party claims arising from PARTY B’s performance of this contract.
This agreement shall not be assigned or transferred in part of whole by due to termination of same any party to this agreement without prior written consent of the other party, which consent shall not unreasonably be withheld. Notwithstanding any of the aforementioned obligations, terms and conditions neither party shall be deemed, considered in default of any of its obligations under this agreement as a result of “Force Majeure”, but if an interruption of performing the obligations under this agreement as a result of “Force Majeure’ condition for a period more than one month; PARTY A shall pay EMPLOYEE only 70% of the amount stated as salary in this agreement as standby or agreement termination fee.
PARTY A shall; in the event of default or non-compliance of PARTY B/EMPLOYEE with the terms and conditions of this agreement; in writing give notice to PARTY B / EMPLOYEE specifying the areas of default and PARTY B / EMPLOYEE shall upon receipt of the said notice have ten (10) calendar days to rectify to the satisfaction of PARTY A the said default.

TERMINATION
o This agreement may be terminated:
• At the expiration of each current term subject to renewal.
• If PARTY B / EMPLOYEE commits any serious or persistent breach or default.
• Under “FORCE MAJEURE” as provided for in paragraph 2.0 of this agreement.
• For reason of bankruptcy of either party.

NOTICES

I too have received a e mails trying to recruit me for working for SHELL in Nigeria.
After finding the site warning of fraudulent job offers, I realised the e mails I have been receiving are from the same source.
Why isn't anything done to remove these SCAMMERS from the internet and the planet!

After finding the site warning of fraudulent job offers, I realised the e mails I have been receiving are from the same source.
Why isn't anything done to remove these SCAMMERS from the internet and the planet!
All that glitters is not Gold.
