So the guy I'm talking to is selling Brittany's, he said he took this puppy to the shipping company this morning and when they said I had to wire money red flags went up everywhere! I've worked at a moneygram location and know all about the frauds. Just out for the fun of it, I told him the form of payment was unacceptable to me. I proceeded to tell him I would only do Cash on Delivery as he discribed in the email to me. He told me no problem, he would pay the fees and puppy would be sent so I can pay on delivery. Then he says I need to give him a code when the company sends me the shipping code or whatever, which I have not yet gotten and its been about 20 mins. Was just curious if anyone else had tried this way to see what happens?

To keep in contact with them when you know you're dealing with a scammer can prove to be a dangerous thing. It would be wiser to just let go and cease communication.

To answer your question, although the "seller" won't be collecting fees from you, his "shipper" will invent reasons to do the same; broken crate, vaccines, "refundable" insurance and whatever else he can come up with. Fact is, although the email address and name will be different, you'll only be talking to the same scammer. Stop wasting your time.

So i got scammed from the same minerva girl i sent $60 bucks to her and they asked for $521 for shipping so that's how i knew it was a total scam. i felt so stupid knowing this was going to be a 80% chance of scam but i got so carried away with the puppy i didnt even think about it, thats really sad that a person goes through all that just to get money out of you we all should do something about it and make them pay.

In the ads the puppies are advertised as free, but there is $180 to the side of the ad in the Penny Saver newspaper. When I contacted her I was sent an email asking if I were Christian? She indicated on my cell phone text message that the puppies were in Cameroon and she worked for the WHO. She wanted only the shipping and the puppies were free. I checked to see where Cameroon is and noticed it was next to Nigeria. I knew there are tons of SCAMS coming out of Nigeria, so I did a search for Cameroon Puppy SCAM and I hit the big one. This was a scam. I did not send this women anything. I wasn't going to send someone money for shipping puppies from Africa. She claimed it took 7 hours to fly the puppies from Africa, which is bs. It takes much longer. She hinges everything on the fact she is a Christian and she wants another Christian to get these imaginary puppies. Evidently, you are going to trust another Christian, especially when they close their emails with scripture. What a rip off.

So, I just wanted to do the same, to hopefully assist in someone else not getting any fraud. The pictures I saw were just heartwrenching. They came up with this huge story about how they were selling registered puppies for 300.00. Which at first I thought was fishy, but I thought I would look into it. The person replied back with a long response, about how his late wife died, they were her puppies and couldnt look at them anymore, as it reminded them of her. They then, promised to have the dog shipped to me for only 90.00 making the total price for the dog 390.00. Again thought this was odd, but when the person contacted me through a phone number i thought, well if they were fraud, why would they use a phone number you can track. However, as the hours went on, the story didnt seem to add up, he lied about the age, which when sent to me through email, the delivery papers, statedthe puppy was 12 weeks, after he told me 8. They also sent me the wrong registration, which stated someone elses name, and had "my puppy" and someone elses, This also concerned my because if it were a legitimate breeder, I HIGHLY doubt they would send the wrong papers with other customers information. THis is private stuff. They then said their paypal account was down so, I should find a credit union to make a transfer to, so that they could get the money asap, so the puppy could be shipped. The "seller" was constantly emailing me at this point, asking where there money was, why I wasn't going through with it, to call the pet carrying agency, its not fraud because I have their phone number, but even the credit union helped me research and we couldnt find anything reputable about them. They stole labels from other companies to paste on their site. It looked legit.

So I decided not to give them money. WHy, because often things that appear too good to be true, usually are. Especially with a registered AKC bulldog, with microchipping, papers, up to date shots. airplane and front door delivery service etc. 390.00. All in all, I am pretty sure this was a nasty scam, I got emails from his wife, that supposedly died, and he claimed it was him, my thoughts, his email was probably spammed, because his email changed several times. The carrier company was a landline via satellite. Word to the wise, if it were an international pet shipping company, they wouldnt have a direct person to call, they would ask for some form of id of the pet, not just your name. They wouldnt send you the wrong information about your dog, and they most certanly wont have NO VOICEMAIL.. If they are reputable, I believe and INTERNATIONAL pet carrier would have a certain voicemmail.. and their account wouldnt be through Camaroon..

I do also know that they copy/paste pictures to post from other peoples websites. I have a friend that found pictures of their kids holding their puppy on someone elses breeding site...just do your due diligence - no matter where you live you do not need a puppy from another country if you are not a breeder of show animals or are not able to visit the breeder in that country.

Find a reputable breeder that you are able to verify and are comfortable with or like other posters have in their tags...get a shelter animal that needs a home.

I tried to get a french bulldog for my daddy for fathers day. My daddy is disable and I saved up to get him this dog cause our died on my jr prom night. From what I have read it looks like I have scamed. But this is my storie and if anyone can help me please do I need all the help I can get!

Two days ago I found this pretty french bulldog. Well the page said that the dog was in Georgia. So I message the women and we made a deal that she was going to sale the dog to me for $350. Then she said I will be sending the dog threw the world courier from AZ. She said it was not going to be a problem that the puppie would be sent to my door step. The world courier people contacted me and got my info and then they get to the air port and they want $750 for insurance . The women didn't tell me nothing about this. So I had to go to my daddy and tell him what was going on. We didn't have that much money to give them . We got up 500 and send it to them threw western union.They said it will be returned to me once the dog got to me. That was every penny that I had to my name. The dog was post to be here 7:30 am. We waited and waited then I got another message sayin that they were 2 hours away and they needed $1500 for the cities permit. they kept telling me send it to cameroon. And now we have no dog or money. Is there any way I can get my money back or get the dog?
