I recieved a letter today from the INT'L LOTTO COMMISION located 21008 Madrid Spain - Tel / Fax - 0034-653-724-479
The letter was to advise me that i won 452.651.00 Euro.

It says to claim prize contact Mr. Richard Brown.
This this a scam?

yes, this is indeed a scam:

- There's no such lottery in spain
- The mentioned phone-number is a mobile phone-number. No legit company in the world would force his clients to call such a number.
- You can't win a lottery if you haven' bought a ticket!

without having seen the email I would guess yes:


- you can not win in a lottery you've not taken part in

- a regular lottery doesn't inform you via email but has your home address or you will be informed by your local lottery agent where you bought the ticket.

- the sum is typical for a scam.

- it is very typical for a scam that you have to contact somebody else than the initial contact. Typically, they have yahoo or hotmail address but this is not a must-be. Nevertheless, a regular lottery has their own domain and website (there are also fake websites around though).

- Spain is a typical country of fake lotteries.


so, sorry for that but I guess you've just won some experience instead of money.

I just received yesterday from the same person quite the same letter but they have a new manager named Barjuan Torres Perez for claiming the money.
They have a new phone to. 0034 657 508 311
If they continue does that means that work some time???

Yes, obviously these scams are successful at least some of the time, or scammers wouldn't continue to invest time or money into sending out the scam emails. Criminals only continue in crime if it is profitable, somehow.
