Hi,

We just purchased a pair of Macaw Parrots from Cameroon. Which looks like it may have been nothing but a big scam. I first gave them $600 to adopt these parrots. Which was to include air and all needed paperwork needed for transportation.

They then were supposed to go to the airport for delivery. Everything looked like it was going fine. I then had to send a Western Union payment for $460.22 plus Western Union Service fee of $499.22 for insurance for these birds. They said that they couldn't send the birds out without this. That was from doula_internationalairport_cmr@AirportEmail.com. They then sent me another e-mail. This is their e-mail.

It's a scam. Frankly, the restrictions on pet/animal export from Cameroon are so tight, you can pretty well be guaranteed that any offer to sell you a pet from Cameroon is a scam.

hi ok, i replied to an ad over facebook. it was for a teacup yorkie. he said that his father is a breeder there. he also said that he moved to canada and left his 13 month old dog there. she has only been there for a month. and now he wants to bring her to canada, but is willing to give her to me for free... he originally asked for 99 dollars for some papers but i told him i couldnt aford it and he said that he wont charge me that is i post ads for him on free websites for his two bulldog puppies.
i agreed i posted ads for him for the dogs. next he asked for one last favor. to post adds for his two english mccaws!... so i also did that... next he finally told me that there is lot of paper work to do with the ministry of livestock. and he will send the dog to me before christmas. (todays date dec 10).
finally he asked for one more favour, to post ads for his father for another yorkie, and a monkey!! immeidiately i thought something was up... if he lives in canada wouldnt he know that people can not just own a monkey. after telling him this he swears he didnt know. ive now asked to meet wiht him ( not by myself obviously) and if he agrees im printing up a contract and making him sign it . that i do not have to pay a penny for her. he says that the reason why hes giving her away for free is bc she just needs a goo dhome and bc of his work he has to travel too much to take care of her. now, after reading all these scams that come out of camaroon im sceptical. i want to think he is an honest person but its hard to now. if i do get the dog it would be great but my main concern now is showing up at the air port to pick her up and get billed for her flight or worse!

Be assured that this guy is a thief and the pets don't exist. It's that simple.

He got you to do his dirty work for him, probably because more and more ad sites are detecting posters i.p. and deleting the ads posted by these scums.

There will be no pets delivered. Any documents he send you will be fake, and he will try to take advantage of you again, either by getting you to post more ads, or try to steal money from you.

You won't pay a penny for her, but you will be ask to pay for shipping, or some document. The yorkie (which doesn't exist) will end up stuck at some far away airport and this thief will send you sad messages about how the poor animal is struggling, and how you must pay the airport etc.., to release the animal so it can be shipped to Canada.

Your best option is to cut off all communications with these criminals.

I was scammed also, except it was for a bulldog puppy. I sent $250 to have the puppy sent to the states. Then they needed $380 for a special crate. When I refused to pay it, they gave me a sob story on how the puppy was stuck all alone at the cargo. I demanded my money back, but they stopped answering my emails. Now I am receiving emails stating they are from the FBI in Cameroon and they think I may be a partner because I sent money. I don't think that email is real either. BEWARE of any animals from Cameroon!!

This is the email i got today after falling for this ad. I did get to sending my addy and phone. But then somthing kicked me in the head and then I started looking for the scam. Did not take long to find other with the same story. There is a ad for english bulldogs, and that letter is exactly the same as the one I got for the hyacinth. And they are posting them all over the net on real pet websites, so you get that as being trusting.
Please look out for them , they are using this name among many, (karina andrew (karinaandrew@yahoo.com)

And "BUBARY AGRICULTURAL SUPPLING GLOBAL COMPANY LTD ( BASC_GLOBAL ) website at http://bascglobal.tripod.com/ " comes up a real company. But I really don't think it is now.

my girlfriend really wanted teacup yorkies so she searched the web, found an add for 2 of them named haley and eddie for free, well turns out they werent free the supposed man named kim had a sob story bout he travels to much an his wife passed so she was the one taking care of them. an ya he needed someone to take care of them. well then he asked for 100 dollars for paperwork transfer an all that i figured it sounded legit due to having a registered boxer. then he was suppose to take them to the airport well i got an email from said airport tellin me they need insurance on the puppies for 440 dollars thats when i got the feeling something was wrong they were suppose to have all this stuff already. well i tried to call the airport number that they had an i got a ytt32 message from cellone for that number stating it doesnt exist the number was +2379925387, when i called "Kim" back he stated he was goin back to the airport to see what was goin on. well prolly bout 8 mins later that number that didnt work now works an it called me, how it got my number i didnt know which made this more suspisouse, then i came across this thread and it all made sense, i realized that it was a hoax he called me back an i hung up on him then he called me again an had a seriouse attitude with me. so i told him "i know this is a damn scam call me again an im calling the F****** cops" an then hung up havent heard from him since.

That's not very smart. In fact what you end up doing is help the scammers make their scams more perfect. It also means that they change their names, email addresses and phone numbers becuase their 'identity' is on this site. In turn this means that you actually cause more harm than good, and people get scammed because of it. The general public need to be informed about the scammers, the scammers do NOT need to be informed about this site. If you want to mess with scammers heads in a CONTROLLED manner that causes no harm to third parties, try a scam baiting community site.

hi ok, i replied to an ad over facebook. it was for a teacup yorkie. he said that his father is a breeder there. he also said that he moved to canada and left his 13 month old dog there. she has only been there for a month. and now he wants to bring her to canada, but is willing to give her to me for free... he originally asked for 99 dollars for some papers but i told him i couldnt aford it and he said that he wont charge me that is i post ads for him on free websites for his two bulldog puppies.
i agreed i posted ads for him for the dogs. next he asked for one last favor. to post adds for his two english mccaws!... so i also did that... next he finally told me that there is lot of paper work to do with the ministry of livestock. and he will send the dog to me before christmas. (todays date dec 10).
finally he asked for one more favour, to post ads for his father for another yorkie, and a monkey!! immeidiately i thought something was up... if he lives in canada wouldnt he know that people can not just own a monkey. after telling him this he swears he didnt know. ive now asked to meet wiht him ( not by myself obviously) and if he agrees im printing up a contract and making him sign it . that i do not have to pay a penny for her. he says that the reason why hes giving her away for free is bc she just needs a goo dhome and bc of his work he has to travel too much to take care of her. now, after reading all these scams that come out of camaroon im sceptical. i want to think he is an honest person but its hard to now. if i do get the dog it would be great but my main concern now is showing up at the air port to pick her up and get billed for her flight or worse!

No, that's part of the lie. The scammer will be sitting in an Internet Cafe in AFRICA, probably Cameroon.

You have lost nothing, the pup did not exist in the first place. Any offer of a free pup on the internet is a scam, especially when you have to "pay for delivery". It's utter rubbish.

If you want a pup, go to a canine charity, rescue shelter or dog pound. There are many that need rehoming otherwise they will be put down.

There is another person called Father Brown who is a "priest". The e-mail adres is: shellibrown2003@yahoo.com This is also a scam, at first he wants to let you pay, then he said that he will pay. He gives you a airway bill number and password and tel you you can look on the site: www.europetexpress.co.cc (this site is also a scam). Then you get a call from Europet Express (+23775156440) that saying that you must pay the trandfer costs, cause this farther Brown did not pay.
Luckely I came to this site and did not pay anything. After they realised that I am not paying a cent, they dissapeared. Father Brown's nr (+23776310311).

Why do you need to ask? It is a scam just like the examples shown above. The birds do not exist and if you pay all you get is a smaller bank balance.
