I seem to get every scammer in the world to notify me "I HAVE WON". The latest is from michaellawson111@yahoo.co.uk I was informed I won $250,000.00. My husband and I have a new trick we play on the strings of scammers, telling my family member just died and how this is so exciting, and then amazingly I don't get the response just another email from a new company. This latest one was weird though because there is a Euro-AMERICAN- LOTTO HEADQUARTERS so once I put in the information it came up 419 scam. No finders fee was mentioned or even a request for personnal information so I was wondering how this can be a scam...I know I didn't buy a ticket but How do you really know?

Hi smpatrick,
Don't forget that you are not 'scammed' unless you give them money. Which is the point.
Regardless of the content of the Lotto/Lottery/Sweep they will always ask for a fee to be paid so you can get the winnings.
Pay the money and loose it baically, as the winnings don't exist.
It sounds like you are trying to play the scammers along. May I suggest that doing it via any of your personal accounts be avoided.

To clarify what John said:
Eventually, the scammer will ask for money. Often he will work to develop a relationship with the target before the money request goes out. Some scammers are very patient, waiting several weeks before doing that.
It is uncommon, but not unknown, for scammers to send accomplices to a target's house. They have networks of contacts around the world. Therefore, if you are playing with scammers, you should get an anonymous email account and obviously never give out your true identity.
