This is one email message I've obtained from this supposed individual. There are numerous others; and I don't like what I've been getting and I want to be certain that others are aware if this is a scam operation running.
In regards to our telephone conversation, i am at the transferring bank right now to effect the transfer of your loan but the transferring bank manager informed me that a new bill has being passed into law by the Nigeria Federal House of Assembly and he stated that all loan reciepient are to be responsible for the Capital Transfer Tax (C.T.T) and Value Added Tax (V.A.T) which will be remitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Meanwhile, he stated that the Capital Transfer Tax (C.T.T)/Value Added Tax (V.A.T) is a total of $215 usd, fothermore, he stated that the fee has to be made by the loan reciepient because they will have to show the CBN the western union transfer slip which was made in your name and so the transfer will be made....
I assure you that as soon as the (C.T.T)/(V.A.T) is made, your loan will reflect in your bank account and the transerring bank manager assured me that it will take a maximum 12 hours for the funds to get to your bank account since the transer process of the loan has already started.
Note, you loan has being insured and approved for transfer.
Have a nice day as i await your response.
My regards to your family.
Thanks,
Fred Peters.
