I was involved in a capuchin monkey scam. A man by the name of vicky has a post on magickclassifieds.com. His ad states he is in Arkansas. Come to find out he is in Cameroon (Africa). I had to send the money by money gram to the director of France Air for shipment of the monkey. Once they received the payment, they requested that we call and confirm shipping, which we did. We were told the monkey was ok and it was ready to ship. But we had to call back in 2 hours for the flight information. Then we received an email stating that they needed $1000 more dollars to ship the monkey. The original agreement was $600 which included shipment of the monkey.
The email addresses we we in contact with are: vicky11@petml.com for the seller of the monkey and franceairline@AirportEmail.com for the suppose to be airport. The phone number to contact the director of the airport, France Air is 011 237 559 5593. After we realized it was a scam, we were contacted by the director of the airport with a number from Onterio 905-647-4160.
I hope I can stop others from getting scammed like we did by these.
