Hi Stacy, and welcome to Fraudwatchers.

That email is definitely a scam, for the following reasons:

1. Microsoft don't do lotteries or sweepstakes. In fact there's a statement on their website (http://blogs.msdn.com/securitytipstalk/archive/2006/12/22/you-have-not-won-the-microsoft-lottery.aspx) about the whole "Microsoft Lottery" scam.

2. Companies that do run lotteries don't inform the winners by email. EVER.

3. The phone number given, +447024022754, is a "follow me" number, (on the Magrathea network) meaning that it looks like it is in the UK but can actually be registered and call picked up anywhere in the world. It's a scammer favourite.

4. Real, legitimate companies don't use free, disposable Yahoo email addresses.

5. "AVT Courier Company UK" does not exist.

5. I would expect a company, if it were genuine, sending business emails, to be able to spell the name of the country (and the word "fiduciary" properly.

6. That "company address" does not exist in London.

7. UK postcodes don't look like that.

and finally...

8. This bit:

1.WINNING CERTIFICATE FROM MICROSOFT LOTTERY PROMOTIONS.
2.WINNERS CHEQUE FOR THE VALUES OF 500,000 Pounds
3.CLEAR SOURCE OF FUNDS CERTIFICATES(C.S.F.C.);
4.CERTIFICATES OF ORIGIN OF FUNDS(C.O.F.).

is the scammer gearing up to try to make you pay all kinds of "fees" to claim your "winnings". It is illegal in most, if not all, countries to make someone pay a fee to claim a prize of any kind.

I would advise you to delete the email, and any others like it that you receive. I'm sorry, but you've not won anything.
