Prices like those on brand name electronics are impossible for any real company, ask anyone in the business. If you even have a vague idea of how the market really looks like this is the easiest way of recognising these scams. There are tons of these websites exporting all kinds of cheap branded electronics from China, they're all scams. Here are two with similar design:

Yep, you're doing the right thing it just deleting the emails. Don't even bother replying to them with a few choice words, it's not worth wasting you time on. Seriously. Just delete them and be done with it.
Congrats to all for spotting the scams!

I have also been scamed 100eur. and on these website:
http://www.wdzmc.com/
http://www.jyu1688.com/
...I have paid over bank wire.... and now they said, that i need to pay tax another 100eur...
i knew that it is a fraud, i found a similar website, and they use paypal.
Can they scamm you also via paypal?
Yes, it's not unusual for scammers to have PayPal. They can withdraw the money as soon as they receive it, and you will be unable to recover anything. If there is no money left in the account, you have no protection.
I have also been scamed 100eur. and on these website:

Dear Borut247,
I am interested in learning more details about the problems related to purchases from these Chinese companies. Any more details you can provide are very much appreciated! For instance:
1. When exactly was your order paid for?
2. How did you transfer your money, by Western Union, Bank Transfer from a bank account of yours, or credit card?
3. If you have received your order at this time, what can you tell us about the quality of the products you received?
4. If you did not yet receive your ordered and paid for merchandise, what seems to be the holdup at this point?
5. Who exactly is claiming the additional "100eur" in "tax?" Is it the company that you are buying from, or is this a claim by for instance the customs office in your own country?
Thank you very much for your consideration!
:)
im down 100 pounds because of these people....silly me
Dear Unregisterd Guest,
It is nice to be anonymous and it sometimes very wise never to register for anything, especially under anyone else's trusteeship, but that aside...
I would find it most helpful to know just a little more about your claim of being "down 100 pounds because of these people..."
If you could specify:
1. The URL to the ones you made your payment to?
2. The date you made your payment?
3. How did you transfer your money, by Western Union, Bank Transfer from a bank account of yours, or credit card?
4. How long have you waited without any delivery?
5. If you have received your order at this time, what can you tell us about the quality of the products you received?
6. If you did not yet receive your ordered and paid for merchandise, what seems to be the holdup at this point?

I am very ****ed about this because i sold my old camera on ebay to upgrade and was mesmerized when i saw how low the prices were so i ordered and got screwed. its my fault though.
If its too good to be true, it probably is!

Hey guys
I empathise with most of youre problems because i too am a victim of these fraudulent chain of companies. My case has to do with www.kqlliuc.com, who uses kqlliuc@hotmail.com as msn, & stwop@hotmail as an ebay email. Now i won an ipod on ebay form they for $AUD 212.50(including P&H), and at the time- my doubt arose more so from the quality of the product, rather than the whether or not the dealer was a fraud. However, once he told me that i could only pay through an international bank transfer, we agreed that id pay half the amount, and he'd send the ipod over, and then id pay the other half. However once i paid the 106.50, he told me that his boss was angry with him for offering me the half payment deal, meaning i had to pay a discounted other half -AUD $90 before hed send it over. Once i paid (i paid 100$, as thats the minium i could send overseas) he got angry with me got not paying 106.50, saying that he only offered me 90 because he thought i was going to china.
While i'm gutted at losing 200 odd dollars, i must also only blame myself. I hop that we can spread the news about this disease that is threatening to kill the beauty of online shopping through ebay.
Good luck with all of you guys, and i will keep everyone updated on my situation.

i just payed five hundred pounds for items off this site (Eureot), then realised that it MIGHT be a scam? is it? and have i lost my money?
It depends what you mean by "just" paid. If it's in the past few hours, you should contact Western Union immediately to reverse the transfer and pray that the money hasn't been picked up.
If it has been picked up, there is no recourse with Western Union unfortunately.

is there any proof that this site is really a scam? has anybody ever recieved anything from them? euerot?
Please read Daneel's earlier post.
Prices like those on brand name electronics are impossible for any real company
The prices are unrealistic, the only way they can make money is by scamming people. You can't sell electronics for less than they cost to make and make a profit.

hi, did you pay the tariff fee? and did you recieve anything?
i paid 650 USD for a camera from aeoea.com and after i paid they told me i had to send another 402 for shipping tarriff or some stupid ****. I am very ****ed about this because i sold my old camera on ebay to upgrade and was mesmerized when i saw how low the prices were so i ordered and got screwed. its my fault though.

avoid www.aeoea.com
I have been fighting with them to get at least some of my $650 back but they keep insisting that i pay the $400 extra for the tariff. BOGUS!
I'll point this out again.
The site eureot.com has to be a scam. The site aeoea.com has to be a scam. The prices listed on both of these sites are completely ridiculous. They are unrealistic. They are probably lower than the cost of manufacture for some of the products listed. The sites could not possibly sell these goods for that price and make a profit. They would be losing money on every single product sold.
Take, for example, the Nikon D70s. It apparently retails for approximately 700 Euros. The aeoea.com site lists it for the completely absurd price of 119 Euros. The Pioneer television retails for 2040 Euros.
Basic economic rules apply here. Even at wholesale prices and dealing in extremely big volume, you are going to pay at least 70% of retail for a piece of electronic equipment. In some cases, you will pay as much as 90%.
If you continue sending money, they will just keep making up phony fees to pay.
hey guys, i have been sussing out this eureot site for about a week and a half and there is something not right, i was ssoooo close to ordering something but then backed out, im not willing to take the risk. they have 60" sony lcd tv's for 500 euro!!! its ****ing ridiculous!!! the guy i bought the info to get the site said he brought a alpine dvd head unit and it did come, so im not sure, he said he just ordered some more stuff and im waiting to hear if it comes
any info that you guys have about this site would be much appreciated!!
We've posted, repeatedly, over and over, in this thread, that the site has to be a scam. The prices listed are impossible. If this site were selling electronics at these prices and actually sending them, they would be LOSING money on each sale. How many more ways can we say it?
the guy i bought the info to get the site said he brought a alpine dvd head unit and it did come, so im not sure,
So, if I'm understanding you correctly, you paid someone for the information about ordering from the site? You don't think someone who got paid for telling you to order from this site might have an incentive to lie about receiving his own merchandise? Or might even be one of the scammers profiting from the site?

I've heard scammers selling links to their own scam sites before. And claiming to be their own customers is always a useful tactic. There even seem to be those who actually do deliver on small orders, and get those customers to advertise for them, in order to get larger orders where they can scam people for a lot more money.
You can't trust anyone.

I ordered two items from wtoeur.com. I was absolutely mesmerized by their prices and since I could not pay by paypal I was investigating the other methods of payment. Then did a google search for this company or rather for Beijing HuaHai Eletron and Electrical Equitment Co and found this site. Fortunately I have not paid anything yet but have received their invoice twice with this message:
dear friend : thanks for your attention to our website first . but we have to confirm that whether you still want the object that you ordered before . we have already finished packaging your item just waitting for your payment , so that we can soon send it to you after we make sure we get your payment . please confirm that in your qucik response . if you don't want that any more . we will cancel your order list soon . looking forward to your quick response. very cordially
I don't intend to reply.

hi i have lost £400 nealry from bogus scam sites
the first being a connman using another website the second being a a web site called www.newegg.com which has now shut down the third being a website called supply-digital.com these were for items like ps3 and ipod nanos
there is a site called www.tradekey.com an the companys have a trustprofile only deal with people with 30 or more hope this helps
I think you may be mistaken about the website address on one of those. Newegg.com is a long-established and as far as I know, respected retailer. I certainly can't recall them ever being accused of scamming. And they're still in business.
this scam stuff is freakin bull****!! the prices are insanely cheap and now there telling me they can ship it to me in 3-5 days to australia!! come on!! it takes 3-5 days to 'ship' a letter from next freakin door!!
2nd of all i googled this eureot.com's address and found another site, almost exactly the same but different 'company' pictures!! its crazy!! within 40 mins of searching i found 6 sites that are almost exactly like this eureot.com!! same layout and everything!! i sent an email to the eureot dude with the address of all these sites and told him his site is a ******* scam and theres no way he is gettin my money unless he sends the **** first. its funny how there 'friendly' business emails change then, and after i said i reckon his site is bull**** and i dont trust my items are goin to come.................he has yet to reply.
i feel like sending him an email making out im the beijing police or some**** just to make him sweat and see if he shuts his site down
PEACE

28 June 2007, 00:19
cdub, can you please leave the profanity out of your post? Generally, people don't like to read words like that.
In fact, if was a businessman and I received an email like that, my "'friendly' business emails" would probably change too.
There is no point in pretending to be the Beijing police... scammers know that their chances of identification, let alone capture and conviction, are practically zero.
If you want the site shut down, send a polite email to their hosting company, pointing out the scam evidence.

This branch of Bank of China in Beijing is
a huge den where thieves and robbers
ask you to send money to.
Just do a google search for
"No.8 yabaolu"
and you will find among the first two hundred hits,
dozens and dozens of these fly-by-nighters,
they take your order and have you send money,
and ask for sending more, for shipping and tax,
then, when they think they got enough,
the site will be gone-with-the-wind,
and so does your hard-earned-money.
"No.8 yabaolu" is the address for
a Bank of China branch in Beijing.
So be warned, when you are asked to
send money to this branch,
avoid! avoid!! avoid!!!
swift code: BKCH CN BJ 110
do a google search for this SWIFT CODE likewise.
and find many of these sites.
They all have the same kind of designs.
and google search their acct# or name,
you will often find they are the benificiary of two or more
similar sites.
Avoid like a pleague!!!
i have gathered no less than 2 dozen such sites, and
will post these soon. use:
www.who.is
and do a search on their website,
and you will find they have just
recently registered, most of them in March 2007.
think about it, can a big company, some of them claim
to have more than 1000 employees, and with a picture
of a fancy building, only registered their webstore
in March of 2007 ???
unfortunately, most often time
only when a person was caught in their hooks
they come here for confirmation.
they register a lot of ebay accounts and
send massive letters to ebayers,
many take the baits.
Bank branches aren't really an indicator of reliability or lack thereof. The banking laws in China allow a scammer to open a personal, non-corporate account at ANY bank without showing identification or any traceable information quite easily. As far as I'm aware, the problem is not limited to any particular branches or banks.

Yes. No real company has prices like that, it's ridiculous and impossible. Any scammer can provide working tracking numbers, and you have no way of knowing if anything more than a rock was sent. As far as I know, you can't verify Chinese company registrations easily unless you know Chinese. Read here for more information on Chinese companies:

I setn $1495 to buy Iphone I got 2 cheap fake iphones
BEWare there EVil Never Buy From them
I'll remind folks once again, there is no such thing as buying an unlocked iPhone. There is currently no such thing. You can only buy a real iPhone through a cell phone carrier. At the moment, AT&T/Cingular is the only carrier offering them in the States, and they are not yet available in Europe, I believe.
If someone claims to be able to sell you an iPhone, you can be assured they're a scammer or counterfeiter.

I have an idea.
Since I do trade with china for quite long time. I know prices of nearly any kind of electronics goods sold there. So if admin agrees, I can post a topic, where I'll put ACTUAL chinese prices for various goods. Of course, without specifying a supplier.
For example, currently prices for LCD TV are as follows:
in US $
17' - 150
19' - 180
20' - 220
26' - 280
32' - 470
32' Plasma - 650
These are average prices collected over several reliable and tested suppliers. NOTE: These are not any known brand models, these are generic chinese noname/strangename devices (Like PANASOANIC, PHILLPS, TOHMPSON, etc). For some additional fee, or if order of volume is more than 500-1000pcs, these manufacturers will write any brand as you desire - like SONY, TOSHIBA, SAMSUNG, etc but won't fake famous CHINESE brands - like KONKA, TCL :)
Prices are actual as FOB Shenzhen, MOQ 100pcs.
