My name is Shawn Mosch, and I am the co-founder of ScamVictimsUnited.com

I got a call from Dateline, and they are doing a story on 419 scams and would like to speak with a victim for their story. They want to show people how clever these scammers are, and that people do not become victims due to stupidity or greed. They are willing to use a fake name if you would like them to.

If you are, or know of, a victim of 419 scams who lives in

Chicago
Dallas
Atlanta
New Orleans
Washington DC
Minneapolis
Miami
LA
New York

please contact me ASAP so that I can hook you up with the people from Dateline!

Thanks,

Unfortunately, me and my family lost literally thousands of dollars in this 419 scams in Nigeria. they went through several middle men and one of them appeared to be on the up and up and actually went over there. I lost all my retirement and savings. Ended up filing bankruptcy. I was a single mother of two young children and could ill afford to get involved in this, having come off a bitter devestating divorce which left me very vulnerable. I know have breast cancer and I am not sure I have the energy to pursue any media battle on this. I do attribute which of my trauma and current sickness to this horrible time in my life. I am taking chemo right now and am very weak.

Good look to you.

Hello Vickie,

I'm very sorry to hear of your losses, and I know this is a hard time for you. I must warn you, though, that there is a good chance you will be recieving another email from someone claiming that they can recover your money for you. They will claim to be from the Nigerian police, Scotland Yard or even the FBI. They could even claim to be from this site. This is the same scammer, and they will ask you for another fee. Do not respond to any of these "recovery scams."

Please be very careful. And welcome!
