Retrieving Headers in Thunderbird:
Method 1 - You are able to copy headers using this method
Click View -> Message Source while viewing the message you are getting headers for [keyboard shortcut Ctrl+U].

* This will open a new window containing the headers and complete message

Method 2 - You may only be able to view headers using this method.
Click View then Headers then All

The headers then appear in the message pane:

Note that using this method, you will have to return the settings back to the original (Normal) if you do not wish to view the full headers all the time.
