Craigslist suspicious buyer email??? HELP

Can someone tell me how to identify a scammers email. I am selling a clawfoot tub on craigslist and this is the content of the second email i received from a potential buyer:

Thanks for your response, I will like to purchase this item from youas I'm satisfy with the price and condition stated from the ads. But Iwon't be able to come for the viewing due to my promotion assignmentgoing on at the offshore rig, but I will like to see more pictures ifyou have any and I will be paying by a certified draft due to mypromotion assignment going on, because I can't have access out thereto pay you by cash now and the pickup arrangement will be made by ashipping company after you have receive the funds, so do get back tome with your name,address and number so that I can mail out thepayment to you asap and kindly delete the posting off CL as Icommitted to buy this from you and here is my # 717-xxx-xxxx butincase, I'm unable to answer the phone, you can leave me a message andI will get back to you in my free hrs as soon as I can , but you canget back to me in a email with your information, so that payment canbe mail out to you asap.

Everything in this email is telling me SCAM. The story about off-shore work, the certified check (which would be counterfeit), the shipping company and so on. A definite scam.

It may be possible to identify the country it was sent from, but I'd be 99% certain it is not from within the USA.

It may help others if you post all the details you have of this person, such as the email address he uses, the phone number etc., but please make sure not to post up any of your own personal information.
