The IP relay-scam on television.

Next week, NBC Nightly News and NBC's Today Show will be airing a report on the IP Relay scams. The tentative air date is Tuesday, the 21st but this is not 100 percent sure. I'll update this thread once I know more about it.

Unfortunately not. :( I couldn't find out any exact details on the NBC's website. I'm sure Mssheila will post further details on the relay operators forum once she knows more about it. However, I guess that the video might be viewable online after the show.

Ok, the whole thing has been postponed until after Thanksgiving. The story is supposed to air next Wednesday the 29th

Hi everyone.... sorry I've been so absent on your forum, I've been trying to keep mine alive over there! I can't seem to get it into google's database, so that people can search and find us. Anyway, that's another matter.

The interview has been postponed twice now, so I have no faith that it will, in fact, air next week. As of this moment, one segment is set to air on Tuesday, Nov 28th on NBC Nightly News. The second segment is supposed to air on Wed Nov 29th on The Today Show. Today is supposed to be doing a two part special on internet scams, and our interview will appear in that context.

If this changes- and it very well could, I will try to get over here and let you know. Usually the producer calls me only hours before it's set to air, and I have to scramble to call everyone I know to tell them it won't be on that night. Ugh..... Very frustrating. But- if they do air it- it should be worth all the effort I've put into getting this story on national television.... I hope!

There are plans afoot regarding the relayscams.aimoo.com site; however matters have yet to be confirmed and finalised. As soon as this has been done, the information will be posted on this site.

We can confirm, however, that there will be no requests for, nor expectations of, any kind of donations towards maintainance and upkeep of the site. There will also be regular backups taken so as not to lose any posts due to unforeseen circumstances.
