Hello
I am writing from Italy. I almost got scammed but luckily I understood in time. The person was offering me a job for a teaching post paid 5,000 pounds pcm... It turned out to be fake.
I called the school and they told me they had placed no ad, thanked me and said they were going to call the authorities. I am located in Italy. The school in the UK.

The problem is that the scammer has my CV. What am I to do? Can you assure me somehow?

Could you supply some idea of what was ON your CV? If it was just your contact information and your employment history, I doubt very much it would lead to identity theft. Many people post as much on their completely public Facebook accounts, for example.

Unless you make a habit of putting extremely sensitive info on your CV, it's doubtful there's anything to worry over.

Thank you for your reply. It just reported basic information... name, address, email and phone number and then education and employment history.
I am starting to believe they cannot do much luckily...
then this person told me the interview would be contacted... ON MSN!!!! by that time it was clear to me it was a scam and when he added me on msn (without even waiting for me to say yes or no) I just blocked and deleted him... through MSN he could have done much damage I suppose... I am starting to hate them!!!!! :(
