Hi Karen, this is an Eastern European version of a "representative scam". You can read more information about the scam on the following webpage:
http://fraudwatchers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=257
Essentially, the scammers are looking for unsuspecting people who will launder money for them.
The key line in the email is this:
Receive and cash the money from our Clients ( PayPal transfers) and send the money source to our Company's representative.
As an example of what they may do, they may set up bogus auctions on ebay with phished ebay/paypal accounts, and then connect your bank account to their PayPal account. When people on ebay pay for those expensive non-existent items via PayPal, the scammers will drain their PayPal account into your bank account, tell you that a customer has made a payment to them, and ask you to withdraw money from your bank account and send it to them via Western Union or Moneygram (untraceable money payment services).
When ebayers wake up to the fact that they have been scammed, and PayPal wants the money back, law enforcement will turn up on your doorstep.
My advice: delete the emails and walk away. This is 100% a scam.

Mamadote:
The first thing you should do is call your bank and have them close your account(s)....thus preventing the scammers from making any more deposits/withdrawals from these account(s). Be sure to explain what is going to the bank representatives as this will help you out in the long run (if you sent money to the scammers....the bank might come after you looking for the money).
Second...contact your local police department and advise them of what is going on. Be sure to have copies of the emails you exchanged with the scammers (including full headers), as well as, details on the two transactions that have gone through your account(s). This is very important....the local police must make a police report (and get a copy for your records)...so that you have some proof that you are trying to do the right thing and no defraud anyone.
If you have a PayPal account...call E-Bay/PayPal Fraud and advise them to monitor your account and possibly close it and reestablish you another one.

I too, got an email from this Julie Anderson person - word for word the same one that was posted by KarenH. I googled it with the word "scam" and found this. The reason I pursued it as far as even googling it was because the subject of the email read: "CareerBuilder Job Offer: "EliteService.Inc" CONFIRM reception e-mail!" and I am on CareerBuilder all of the time and they do send me emails with job listings. Thanks for helping me avert this potential disaster!

My fiance just sign up with this company. We thought this company was real. how can we stop everything before it start. We are not looking for trouble.Yes we are looking for extra money but how can people try mess like this. Im very scared. I never heard of a company like this.please help .THANK YOU.DO THEY TAKE UR INFO AND USE IT.
Nyla
13 December 2006, 05:46
What information did you and your fiance give them? The main thing to worry about is keeping any further damage from being done if you've given them too much personal information, and to make sure you don't cash any payments you receive. Turn them over to police, and ignore the scammers, except perhaps a polite, firm email that the payment was found to be a fake by the bank, the fraud department has it. You will not continue the job. They will soon get the message that you will not be paying off.

I, too got all the above from Julie Anderson, but did not give any information other than my e-mail address, phone number, and street address. I stopped right at the point of giving them any info from PayPal. Am I safe?
Nyla
23 December 2006, 22:53
You should be safe. You may receive some other scam emails, or even phone calls or postal mail, but as long as you are vigilant about any suspicious communication you receive, you should not have a problem. Be on the alert for unexpected checks masquerading as "lottery wins" or phone calls that ask for personal or financial information.

Found this web site by Googling EliteService, Inc...I was so close to signing, but just had to look further into scams....everything mentioned including the contract was rec'd from careerbuilders.com
How was this scam allowed by them?
Really need to know more.

....everything mentioned including the contract was rec'd from careerbuilders.com
How was this scam allowed by them?
The scam was not quite "allowed". Here's a quote from Careerbulider.com's Fraud section:
Q. Does CareerBuilder.com screen employers before allowing them to post/search resumes?
A. CareerBuilder has several screening processes in place, however, not all employers are screened before they place listings on the site and, as stated the Terms and Conditions, job seekers use the site at their own risk. As a result, job seekers should always exercise caution with their personal information. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on how to protect yourself from fraudulent employers.
Link to their fraud section is here:
http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Info/Fraud.aspx
In other words, anyone seeking to apply for a job with a company should do due dilligence and check the outfit out before committing to anything, just like you did.

I would strongly suggest you walk as quickly away from this one as possible. As you have no doubt read, this is a definite 100% guaranteed scam, that not only could see you lose your financial status, but also place you within the criminal proceedings radar.
I'll quote from the response marmadote received in case you have proceeded with these criminals:
The first thing you should do is call your bank and have them close your account(s)....thus preventing the scammers from making any more deposits/withdrawals from these account(s). Be sure to explain what is going to the bank representatives as this will help you out in the long run (if you sent money to the scammers....the bank might come after you looking for the money).
