Watch out...talktonelson@yahoo.com...is a SCAMMER. He has numerous ads online trying to give away free birds and puppies. Here's his scam: He will tell you some sad story why he has to give his pets away and will ask for shipping fees upfront. He posts mostly on free classfied sites so BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM!

Here is one of his emails:

well to ship one, it is $150
so they will be shipped from the douala airport international cameroon . what i will need are your full names and address and name of airport closest to you where she will be shipped to. as soon as i get that, i will start the shipping process as soon as possible.
i look forward in reading from you.
Thanks.

Nice one, Poirot!! :)

And unregistered, I'm so sorry you've been scammed. Thank you for posting the scammer's information here. It will help others who are searching for information on these (by now desperate enough to post on this site) criminals! :thumbup1:

I would like to breathe a huge sigh of relief thanks to this site.

I very nearly got scammed from Roland Fisher involving 4 pairs of Alexandrine Parrots. He wanted me to send $200 to cover shipping costs. I will post the emails from him;

Hello
I just had a call from a friend who lives at Brisbane telling me he fell on your ad on
petlink.com.I have 4pairs and I have been asking him to find someone who can adopt them
for me.I am not interested in selling them .I just want them to find a better hoem. When
I bought them I didn't know that me and my wife would travel so far.we are now in
Cameroon for a project with WWWf.We are tracking the population of a very rare bird
specie called the Bannerman's turaco. We are so busy that we don't have enough time for
the birds .That is why we want to give them out for adoption. However we expect anyone
who wishes to adopt them to atlaest help us take care of thge shipping cost.We shipped
them here for AUD$200 for the 4pairs.We can arrange for a return trip to Sydney airport
or better still to your nearest airport. The fee might be a bit higher or lower but we
can suplement if it is higher. We will like to ship as early as Tuesday 3rd of March
2007.
If interested then contact us for details.
Thanks
Roland and Judith FISHER

Hello Nat
i almost lost you.yeah, the birds are ready to be shipped.I was in the forest all day
long. Our time difference could be from 8hours to 10hrs depending on where you are now
in Aust.Right now you are tucked in bed while I am out in the sun soon to feed the
birds. Is there anything you want to know. Are you ready to get them.I am just so
stressed up now and the sooner I get them into good hands, the better. Please mail me
soonest. Thanks Nat,Thanks alot for wanting to adopt them

Hello Nat
I am sorry for all.I was so busy with some work which was already getting over due.As a
matter of fact we are on the track of a population of the turaco and we very busy right
now. Please I just want you to know that I have a CITES permit to ship the birds without
any hitches. So don't worry about quarantine issues. Please in one short mail, ask me any
questions you want to cleared on.I will then give you a detail reply.I am so busy but I
will concentrate on this so we can conclude positively and you get the birds.
Thanks

Hello
I will also try to give you a breif answer.Time constraint.
Average age is 29weeks some days
Average size 59cm including their tails
Type of alexandrine is Nepalese Alexandrine Parakeet - Psittacula e. nipalensis.
I use a 6metre by 1.2metre wide, suspended ,split into cages with steel framed aviary
with strong wire mesh.In them I also place natural branches as perches
I feed them basically on seeds, grains fruits and insects as a source of proteins.I
subsidize with parrot pellets. The birds have no trouble living together and I can
assure you they well tamed.
Please my time is running out.I hope you will like to adopt them.So when can you get
them?
Thanks

Hello Nat
I am happy you want them. However time is running against me.I have to get back to the
forest by Tuesday. After reading your mail,I contacted the shipping company and asked
them if there was a possibility of the birds leaving by Monday night. They said all is
OK.So can you make available the sum of $200 by tomorrow so that I can start the
arrangements with the shipping company so that they can be shipped by Monday.Generally
it takes 3 or 4 days to go through every paperwork and arrangements.I will however also
need the following information from you
1)Full Names
2)Postal address
3)Contact number
4)City and State
5)Nearest Airport from which you can pickup the birds
6)Name of Person who will pickup just in case you are not available.
I will need the above information to do the paper work with the shipping
company. However they have informed me that the cost of shipping to your nearest airport
might be slightly higher than $200 but I am willing to pay anything that adds to it as
a token of my Love to the birds.
Once I am done with the papers and also paid in the necessary fees,I will contact you
as well as the shipping company with details of the shipping and pickup time. Also you
will be given a tracking number with which you can track the flight of the birds
throughout their journey until they arrive.
Please get in touch soonest.
Thanks once more for wanting the birds

Hello Natalie
The web of the shipping company is

globalpettransport.i8.com

My Full Address is
Roland Fisher

Tel. 00237 5459385

I have pics here but they not in my machine(laptop). When I drive to town on Sunday ,I
will scan one for you.I have just this one which I took when I installed them here upon
our arrival. Why have you not yet given me the information I requested.I need them
urgently.I also want you to know that bank transfers are very slow here.It took me
2weeks to do one recently. So if we have to catch up with time that will not be
advisable.
Hoping to read from you.Hey the shipping company will give you details subsequently on
band numbers and all.
thanks

Hi Roland,

The fastest way for money to be transfered is by direct deposit, please forward me the
name of the shipping company and their bank details or do they do paypal? and I will
pay directly to them.

Any other method of payment would be difficult over the Easter weekend.

I would like everything to go smoothly and quickly too.

The birds would be travelling to Brisbane Airport .

What is the CITES permit Number as that will help me with enquiries at this end.

Also I need your full name and address, and contact details.

Do you have any photos of the birds, are they banded for identification, if so what are
the band numbers??

regards

Nat

Now the last email i sent him was one stating that the only possible way that this could take place was if i sent the money after i received the birds. I also stated that if his love for the birds was anything to go by then he would be able to find the means for this to happen.
Surprise i have not heard back from him since!

I really hope this info helps. I am so very lucky unlike some of the other people and i think that awareness is the key- if it was not for my suspicious mother than i would have lost $200. So they key is to do research of all the material. I also rang up Quarantine and they stated that there would not be a possible way of bringing the birds into the country without them being put down.

Again thankyou to everyone who has tried to raise awareness of this.

The folks in Cameroon are busy scamming anything that tugs at the good old American heart strings. They start at by saying free puppies to good homes and then string you along to pay for the air fare home. Chances are you may get an empty box if anything of simply have paid for someone's trip to the states. BEWARE!!! the scams are everywhere!!!

I then responded:

She is precious. Her name fits. We are in Florida. I am not a
breeder. Yes, we would be able to take care of her and provide a loving
home for her. I have no time table on when we would need her.

It concerns me that she would be shipped such a long distance, would that be
safe? Also, why are you wanting to find her another home?

Thank you for you response.

His answer was:

hi there thanks for gettting back to me.you should not worry about the flight it is just 7 hours flight duration to your location and she will be ship from cameroon by the CAMEROON CONTINENTAL PET MOVER and they are the best as far as shipping of pet is concern here here in cameroon. led me tell you a little bit about my self.
.well led me tell you a little bit about my self.i was working at the american
embassy at seattle washinton and have just been resently tranfered to work in the american
embassy in cameroon here in cameroon the weather contitions are very unfavourable to this
breed of dogs as i was told by the vet doctors here in cameroon i also have very long housr
of work which during thsi period my darling precious is always left alone in the house all
this reasons turns to make me to look for a good home for her back in the states.well i
cant give her out here in cameroon because here people used puppies for selfish reasons
like dog fighting and many others and i cant give out my darling precious to canibals.
well to realy prove that i am from washinton seattle here is my phone number that i waS
using in seattle you can call it they will tell you that i am not around that you should
live a voice mail the number is 206 337 1382
well if all this is ok by you then get back to me with your full shipping details that is your full
names, house address, name of nearest air port and contact number so that as soon as you make the payments
she will be ship to you.well as you can see i am not selling her i just badly need a good home for her
and i know i have found one.get back to em asap

The reason this thief is "not around" is that the 206 number belongs to a fax/voicemail2email service in WA, so he can only receive your messages via his email in Cameroon.

Beware of area code 206 numbers that only have a voice recording requesting you leave a message or a fax.

Watch out for talktonelson@yahoo.com. He actually thought I was stupid and was going to send him money to ship me a Yorkie Puppy. His ads were on www.iposte.org and www.localhelp411 . He advertises free puppies, birds and monkey's. Beware of anyone giving away a pet not in the US. My advice you want a free pet -look locally.

Ok I need some adivice here please. I am unregistered right now only because I am in a hurry but I plan on it. I am in contact with a man named Derrick Yuka. He said I only have to pay 1/2 the shipping. He uses Air france and said he is fine with me paying for the ticket through the airport and even recommened me to get the insurance. I really want these parrots but does this sound fishy? When he didn't ask me to west union the money?

Thanks so much!
GREAT BOARD!!

This scenario sounds like the scam alright. If you can post more details such as a phone number, email address, and/or the address of the ad where you saw these parrots advertised, I could be more precise.

I have yet to see a single advertised sale of parrots from Cameroon that wasn't a scam.

listen beth i wanted you send me 200 so that i could assist you with 200 for the transportation . that was to make you risk just half since you where afraid . but you came back with stories about some body who is not even in Cameroon mark is a French man and he does not sell birds he bought from me and we had clean deal, after which i decided to use him as agent in France after he helps me sell one bird i always give him what i promised.
now you made me to accuse him for nothing because you are not proving him guilty by showing me his names on the web page
then it came to time when you said you have to pay to the airport.
i told you to go ahead and pay and you say you will pay half and i pay half. that means me giving my birds and paying for you to get them. just to proof innocence. that i refused.but if you can pay for the ticket and send me a copy of the receipt . i will drive straight to the airport and keep the birds and the rest for you and the airport people. because i am not responsible here. the birds right now as i have decided are a gift and you only have to pay for their transportation and when you get them no more sending of any money . i just think you deserve them. i wonder why you are silent on messenger even though you are online. common we are friends there is a lot to talk of,
because very soon the airport will ask for refundable insurance ,custom duty and all that which i was supposed to take care of if i were responsible for the shipping and you will start telling me stories.its all left to you

A reminder of the recovery scam used by these Cameroon thieves. They contact victims pretending to be some sort of Cameroon authority that is investigating these scams. They then proceed to demand fees for various reasons from barrister fees to court documents etc.., And the victim is then scammed all over again.

Seems that the person with the georgewil_george@yahoo.com e-mail address in continuing in his fraud scams for bulldog puppies. His newest is at: http://bulldogchase.homestead.com/index.html.

The reason I know this is that I am the webmaster for the "real" kennel site he is stealing photos from and listing them as his own. I cannot post the domain name of the real site because I do not want it associated with the word fraud during Internet searches.

In any case, I filled out his web form to request him to stop using our photos and the only response I got was "You must be a mad person."

But you know what? He is a stupid person because even though he changes his web site name, he does not change his e-mail address.

It seems he has been kicked off tripod.com enough times and is now working off homestead.com. This may be his second account on homestead.com, and if my fax to their CEO has any effect, he will be removed from there once again.

This guy posts no contact information on his web site - can only submit a web form. A SURE sign that a scam is in place.

Thanks for posting, Mr. Scammer, posting from an iwayafrica.com IP address.

Indeed, as Frazzle says, give us some more information about your alleged "business" if it is as legitimate as you pretend.

But you cannot. Simply because there *is* no legitimate pet export buxiness in the Cameroon. What you should be asking yourselves is why you go to such great lengths to destroy your nation's, your country's and your fellow Camerounians' reputation, dignity and integrity by trying to commit criminal acts of fraud against others - even people from your own continent.

You lie, you cheat and you steal simply to line your own pockets at the expense of others. You care nothing of the trail of destruction you leave behind, because you are nothing less than evil criminals. You deserve to spend the rest of your lives rotting in jail, and the time will come very soon when you will taste that very harsh reality. In my opinion, it cannot come soon enough.

I HIGHLY assume this one is a SCAM!
I was cruising through various "CRAIGSLIST" sights and came upon this ad...

Hi,
I am Mrs.Muna Grace of the Gods home orphanage.I am the chief Directress of the orphanage. We are located in Cameroon, precisely at littoral. We have a baby girl of 9 and half months old in our orphanage that we wish to give her to a new home. This baby was brought to us by a little girl of age 7 years,This little girl said she discovered the crying at the road site.We took the baby when she 3 months old.The orphanage cannot meet up with her expenses, and now we are wishing to give her out to a home that is ready and willing to adopt her.We are ready to give you all the information about the baby, and will give you all health documents. She has already been tested on all the tropical diseases, and has been granted a yellow card.Any interested person can get to us through phone at (237)5959545,or 237(4818075.Or through mail at godshomeorphanage@yahoo.com or graceorphanage002@yahoo.com or godshome88@yahoo.com for more information, and picture of the little girl.
Location: baffoussam

Though I was NOT interested in Adopting I thought I'd check it out further....
MY FINDINGS!...
The emails recieved come in a "MRS. ESTER VITORINE" name....
They NEVER ask where you'd like your child flown...
They NEVER ask for any form of paperwork on yourself....
They insist on recieving money via WESTERN UNION/MONEY GRAM on a SATURDAY to take to the IMMIGRATION office for visas/passports...
They say they have already made flight arraingements....
AND the TOPPER!....The story told in their ad is NOT the same story they tell by phone....They say the child is an AMERICAN whos parents died in an accident and that NO "NEXT OF KIN" could be found for her....I highly doubt this!!!!
I feel sorry for the parents whom do wish to adopt and who fall for such an inexpensive, easy transaction of thier supposed "CHILD" ...All does sound well and CAMEROONian Laws do allow this form of legal adoption on a fairlly slack guideline, but they NEVER guarantee these adoptions be successful/secure....
The CAMEROONian government does ask foreigners to consult their few agencies for adoption, NOT go with the PRIVATE agencies available there.
This story did sound "REAL" until money became an issue and then it seemed to be a big push for time, thus drawing a red flag...
SOOO BEWARE and KEEP YOUR CASH SAFE!
If it sounds too good then it is!

o.k i got that i need your full house address and the name of the airport, including your name in full.i have been calling but you never pick up my call.why?
i will be waiting.

______________

I'm sorry! My phone was off.

I was just called to go into work tomorrow. I'm setting it up with a neighbor to be here for the pickup. It's xxxx(THIS IS A FICTICIOUS ADDRESS THAT WOULD BE NEAR MY HOME). It would be through O'Hare or Midway Airport in Chicago.

By the way – they might be interested in the other puppies, but they want to see mine, first. ( )

OHH THAT GREAT......I AM SO SO HAPPY.

***********

So that's where we are as of right now. Let's see what happens when they don't get the money, and I actually DO have a WU slip I can fax them - IF they bother.

Please, also note the names and the number. I didn't find them anywhere else on this site, so they're new, and they ARE on other classifieds sites trying to sell other kinds of dogs. :(

Also, one of the tricky things is that there are dogs barking in the background when you call. They can be very convincing.

Let's hope we can get the word out enough. I asked a local news agency to look into it. They're always running stories on scams, and I found this classified on THEIR website!:o
Boy, I hope they do something with this!

Anyhow, I'm still naive and ignorant, so of course, I don't know what happened. Check this out...

(Recieved at about 12:30 this morning)

XXXX this should be one the biggest problem i am going through in my life,i can't take the embarrassment (grr... I doubt embarrassment is a problem, lady...) at the airport my husband called me while i was at the airport and told me the money you send was pick up already, i don't understand why you should do something like this please tell me to clear my mine what going on please i need to know, why are you doing this to me?i am at the airport now (if I had any doubts, that right there cleared them up - emailing me from the airport? I doubt it! If that were the case, she could afford to send me the puppies and pay for it herself! Sell the laptop and send me the money to get your precious puppies!) with the puppies please mail me, i have even try to call you but no one picks my call.
i am waiting and so so confuse.

(Recieved about 6:30 this morning)

hello Xxxxx good morning?have you seen my mails?i am havening problems picking up the money, when my husband first when to the western union to get the money there told him the money was pick up by you, so i did not believe this due i was so mad at the airport, but you know what i can't flight out the puppy yet without getting the money,i told the western union you have never done a western union transfer before so may be you had some problems doing this.so the told me you paid the money online using your credit card and so you haven't yet complete the transfer you have to under go the last step which is to call and activate the transfer. i have everything set for the puppies shipment. so tell me was that what happened?did you use your credit care in transferring the money to me?if so then you have to call to activates the transfer.
and i have also being trying to call you but no one picks my calls. please tell me what happening.

*******

(I responded at about 8:30)

So am I! I have the receipt right here from Western Union! I'm not sure what's going on, but as far as the phone, I shut my phone off at night. Have children and I don't wish to wake up them or my husband with the phone at all hours. My husband works too hard to miss his sleep, so sorry!

But as far as they money goes, could someone have picked it up using my name? Maybe someone hacked our mail – I've never done this before…

And, I can't use a credit card… I have bad trouble with those…

Well, it looks like I've lost 200 and no puppies. What can I do? Can you send them and I'll pay you in payments?

Maybe I can borrow some money and send it by your courier?

You said you were at the airport – did you get them on the flight already?

**********

So, I got up and looked at my phone - she called 10 times on my home phone, and 4 on my cell! (She must be really worried for her puppies ;)) I'm glad my home phone has a do-not-disturb feature, and I'll be using it again tonight! I'll also be playing problems with the phone to keep this on e-mail so I can document it and share it with you as long as it can go on.

Actually, I just had another idea. I'll post the results later. :thumbup1:

Hi, In august/ september 2006 I was almast scammed as I was looking for a small primate. Someone called Michelle mail me and offered me a cappichin monkey. At a bargain price of R1500 who can resist? So I did some homework, and at the end, when I refuse to pay before delivery, she turned angry, and tells me that ,maybe it was not ment be.

I was contacted again in March 2007, by a Estella Fubesi. To make it short, same thing happened, but this lady is from the RSPCA. I questioned it, because RSPCA is in Londen, and she is in Cameroon. She said she was transferred. (Bull!! Cameroon has another organisation, and no RSPCA!)

She was willing to pay for the shipping, if I would pay COD. I could never get
a name or number of the organisation out of her, and only her tel no. Here is our last conversation, with a few lies, because if I posteverything, It could take days to read:

Hi Estella,
I don't think this is going to work, as there is to
many loose ends. It, for starters, can not be that
difficult to give me the company's name in Pretoria,
so that I can contact them myself. I will find there
number myself. Second, you have told me that you sold
her mother overseas, and just 3 mails later, her
mother is already in South Africa? I don't think this
is legit, and that it is a scam. Some of your replies
don't make sense. I don't like lies, and so far you
thrived on it. I don't even know if Shealy exists! I
have done my homework, and make contact with a few
people that got scammed. The mails, the stories,
everything they told me measured up. They even
received mails with the certificates from the vets,
and documents signed by the minister of Cameroon. All
of which was fake! Even the air ticket, and the calls
from the airport. The mails started with: Sorry for
the late reply, and several reasons why they could not
phone, or give out contact numbers. I am very
disappointed, but I am not prepared to do something
illegal, as I am the mother of 2 boys.

So, thank you for the opportunity, but I don't think I
will accept, as there is no way that you can bring her
in South Africa, legally.

You know what – for the money this is costing me, I can get the puppies locally. I don't know what to do – my husband says I always blow it on this stuff…

Can you make some kind of arrangement with these people to receive payment when they're en route? I don't have any more cash… I'd need to borrow it…

Do you have any pictures with the puppies? Maybe I can get my neighbor to help if he can see the pups.

And, you could always put the money I sent on the insurance – I don't know that I trust Western Union now to get it to where it should go… You should be able to get your money iwht the receipts copies, no?

My boss is coming. GOtta go

Don't all African SCAMMERS look alike???
Sorry, that may be considered rude, but so s what they're doing.
Anyhow, thought it was also interesting that a google search shows NO legitimate references in Eglish for Cameroon AIRWAYS, only airlines.

Okay, this will probably be my last post.

Hi all!!!
Well coming across this ad has confirmed alot. I recently have emailed about 20 people in all adds i could find about yorkies. I wanted one so bad but the prices are insane, so i started seeing all the ones for $200-$300. I sent out mass emails (about 20 or so) to all these people who were shown in my surrounding areas. After i started to get the emails back, i asked for the locations of the pups and found out that almost every single email was comming from cameroon, here is one reply to a "breeder"...

my problem with this is that, when i read the ad it says you were in washington state...i responded to about 4 now...who have "moved" from washington state and are now in cameroon. Is that just coincidence?

another response:
You know, im getting a bit tired of the scams.....so far 8 people i have emailed who were listing ads in the washington newspapers have said they were from cameroon or just recently moved there, and that i can pay a fee to have the puppy shipped. Did all the people who have yorkies for sale move to cameroon? or is that just coincidence? I would like you to tell me about yourself before i send a SECURE payment so that i know i will not be scammed. The sellers response was "yes, secure is fine, i believe western union would be suffient" (are you joking me?? Western union? lol)

After that i started getting kinda rude with people, I clearly stated that I WILL NOT HAVE A PUPPY FLOWN, I WILL ONLY PICK UP. Then they would say that they are fighting for AIDS or they are pastors or whatever. Now that just makes me sick. One guy told me he can have the puppy to me in 6 hours, my response....

your pictures are blank, also it is impossible to have the puppy here in 6 hours, you shouldnt be promising that. I live 2 hours from the airport, as well as it being a 12 hour flight....please send pictures that work. x

Oh one more thing does anyone know about this...

I was offered a puppy, if i just pay the shipping...but the seller said i pay directly to the airline and they were in California....But when i called the airline, they said whoever is shipping the animal MUST make he payment at time of shipment....not sure before i respond, or should i even?

Frazzle
18 April 2007, 05:33
It's just to make them seem legit... The seller is a nice person, who you can therefore trust. The nasty airline is forcing you to send money to him. :o When the puppy fails to arrive, the nice seller will be able to ask you for more money without making you suspicious.

Are you sure you were talking to an airline in California? Scammers set up redirect numbers through companies like Stanaphone. You dial an American number, but get connected to their cellphone in Cameroon.

There's no point in responding to scammers. In particular, NEVER help a scammer by telling him about this site, or how you could tell it was a scam. If you do, he will modify his next scam so that someone just like you won't recognise it for what it is.

Thank you for this site. I was looking for a puppy and searched the classified adds. I found it kind of funny that people were trying to sell Bulldogs for $2500 and yet these other people were trying to give them away. Then it started to get even stranger when I responded to two different adds and got the same respose back. Even though I thought it was strange I still thought that it may be lagitimate until you guys spoke about your experiences. Well some new info for all you un suspecting puppy lovers. they used the name jimhill@yahoo.com in washington and also, and the other add used alainambe@yahoo.com. The phone numbers 2377872184 and 2376726757. They are also claiming to use air france. They even provide you with a real # to air france, or it is just a really good fake. It was amazing how they follow up with you, and keep trying to convince you that they have a dog at the airport waiting on your funds. I know in the U.S. that the only way that you get something like that shipped is to pay up front. Apparently in Cameroon there are a ton of abandoned animals just waiting for their prospective owners to pay the bill. Wow, it must be super expensive to maintain these animals I mean where do they find time to run an airport. I GUESS THE BIGGEST IMPORT IN CAMEROON IS U.S. MONEYORDERS.

Another angle these criminal use is blackmailing owners of lost pets.

They will scan the classifieds for ads of lost pets, then either contact the owner claiming they have found it and demand a ransom, or they will place ads in the same section, claiming to have found an animal, using the description from the lost pet ad.

Just another day in the life of these thieves.

I ran into this scammer on Craigls list. He goes by Willy F with a yahoo email. He had an English Bull Dog for the price of $150.000, I told him if he is giving her away for $150.00, I got swamp land for sale in FLORIDA. He thene emailed and said to believe him because he needs a better home for the puppy. I told him cool, I will set everything up and he said ok, he will provide me with the #, website and email for the airport and gave me thanks for setting everything up for him. I then went on and said that I will not need the info because my friend will be in business there and he can take the puppy right off his hands. Also, I told him not to worry, my friend is a cop and he can rest assure that the puppy will be in good hands.

I then told him that GOD will bless him for being so generous and placing the puppy in a new good home!! HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM HIM!!

I am having fun with this scammer!!

Hi! I have been contacted by these people, and they say that they have given my e-mail addredd to the interpol police and if I not pay (for a puppy I didn't ordered) they will find me thanks to the interpol and send me to prison.
Obviously I was really worried, but I didn't ordered anything!
what shall I do? help me please!

Hi Kicky,

Don't worry about it.

It is a lie by the scammers to try to persuade you to hand over money.

Furthermore, Interpol isn't interested in anything less that $100,000.

If you are still worried, take copies of the emails to your local police and ask them about it.

Hi here is my contribution to this board

This time exotic pet scam
(reptiles, insects, spiders...)

Usual tactics, in the meantime they use the real name and real address of their victims not only as fake reference with faked email accounts but also use those victims data as fake identity!!

As the victims usually live in unsuspicious countries, the victims only know whats going on when they get emails that the money should be transferred to the wife in cameroon :-)

Unfortunately people do not use their common sense when they get emails by "Airports" or "customs offices" that use freemail services :-/

Scammers addresses:

You are quite right, they used I.D. documents sent by previous victims to assume their identity in future scams. Problem is, these victims can't do much about it unfortunately, which is why it's so important not to send scans of your passport or driver's licence to strangers, specially not in West Africa.

Thanks for that URL, I will contact the host.

When i very first began to read this email, i thought for sure that i had actually found someone who was indeed true about getting rid of puppies......until i got to the third line of the email.....another email to add to the list.

Hello ,
You are a bit late, I just sold the baby you saw on the ads. But you can contact one of my buyers that bought puppies from me .She is Pastor Linda Wolfberg, she just contacted me that she is now because she has just been posted to West Africa for Evangelism she went there with the two puppies she just bought from me.

According to her,her commitment with God`s work did not give her the needed time she needs to be with the puppies, also the weather there is so harsh on the puppies health and she needed a caring parent who can adopt the babies back to the state asap. Below is her email address, contact her and request for the puppies she need a parent for.She will be very happy if she knows you are from me.I will also tell her about you.

Write Pastor Linda Wolfberg on her email address:

pastorwoflberg@yahoo.com

Get back to me when you adopt the babies.
Regards

Dena

First this person stated that this Yorkie was born on Christmas Eve & then in another email stated it was oly 7 weeks old????!!! & stated they were from Cameroon. Since I didn't know where that was, I googled it & found this link to NOT get scammed. Then I received the email below... Fortunately, I did not give any $$ but it was the same as the links attached....see email...
Here first ad for the Yorkie appeared on Craigslist in Central NJ...so BEWARE!

tracy gracia <fuller_ariel@yahoo.com>

Believed to be a part of the scam. She posted about a "free yorkshire puppy" from "Cameroon". I emailed this person and we emailed back and fourth, and I am very suspicious about it. Told me she would ship it from "Cameroon" and I'd pay only for that. Didn't do it.

they tried to scam me too. but I would never send money the way they wanted. besides animals from another country have to be checked out for a certain amount of time befor e we can even have them. what happens if there is a problem with the animals health etc.. you would have a hard time sitting here in the united states tracking the original owner down. that is if they were an animal to start with. here is an address of one that tried to scam me believe it or not they were actually nice while they tried to rip me off even said hi to my kids in a e-mail 1st they wanted 900 then 700 then 500 then whatever i had down to 50 and they would ad another 50 just so I could recieve it wasn't that nice lol anyway heres one of the e-mails hope it helps.

In addition to quarantine regulations when transporting pets across national borders, it's also illegal to import primates into many countries for sale as pets. For example, the United States does not allow this.
