1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
After evaluation of your CV and work experience(s), we found you qualified to work with our team.
Hence, ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. seeks to employ your services for the provision of expatriate services as stipulated in the following acts and conditions herein. This document embodies the approved terms for the purpose of this contract.
2.0 JOB LOCATION
The work location will be in Accra-Ghana at ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC., be sure to report to the HR Manager/Representatives upon arrival to conclude prospects of screening and other logistics
3.0 SALARY INDICATION/ ALLOWANCES & BENEFITS
3.1 JOB LOCATION:- (ACCRA-GHANA)
BASIC MONTHLY SALARY: GBP £ 15,200 (Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred British Pounds Sterling) Travel Insurance, Medical Insurance, 4 Bedroom flat in ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. Staff quarters, Toyota Camry 2005 Model.
HAZARD/ INCONVENIENCES: GBP £ 410 (MONTHLY)
CAR MAINTENANCE: GBP £ 500 (MONTHLY)
HOUSING & FURNISHINGS: GBP £ 2,000 (Yearly)
4.0 JOB PROCEEDING/REQUIREMENT:
You will be expected to resume working at posted location ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. After your three weeks training orientation here in ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. HEAD OFFICE; Work time shall be 25 hours a week (5hrs a day) for the two (2) years contract term. Fridays are work free day for our Muslims workers employee shall also be entitled to over-time allowance if their work time exceeds the official stipulated hours. Salary shall be liable to Increments with time and employees' official promotions and position in service. This is with effect from the 20th of January 2009.
Any selected candidate for ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. not presently possessing a valid Residence, Work Permits, Visa shall be expected to personally incur all expenses as shall be related to the processing, procurement and acquisition of their necessary permits clearance papers with the Traveling Counselors and shall be duly reimbursed and will be substantiated with receipts and ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. will reimburse the employee not later than seven (7) working days after submission of employee’s expense report and receipts.
You shall be required to furnish us with your valid Ghana residence and work permits papers on or before the 23RD of December, 2008 as a proof of readiness to join the ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. project team in the due time as stipulated above for your job resumption with the ETRUSCAN BROTHERS in ACCRA and also to enable you receive your first monthly salary including your due entitlements/emoluments prior to your departure for services with the ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INCOPORATION.
Note: All GHANA based employees' are to report personally to our office in ACCRA-GHANA with their documents (including this contract document) for identification, signing, and collection of hard copy of their contract documents.
This is in line with the expatriate statuary law of the GHANA in compliance with the U.N. Terrorism Act.
5.0 GRANTS & LOANS
OLD SCHEME HOUSING LOAN: 1 year service to ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. is required for eligibility. Starter’s amount will be GBP £ 21, 971 can be re-paid within 10years with GBP 0.00 interests.
LIEU CAR LOAN: All Employees are eligible to apply. Starter’s amount will be GBP £ 12,045 can be re-paid within 5years
TRAFFORD BUSINESS LOAN: All Employees are eligible to apply starter’s amount will be GBP £ 15, 000 To GBP £ 30,000 annually, Contact the accounts department for more details.
6.0 LEAVE PERIOD:
Employees are entitled to 3 times leave in a Year, the Duration of the Leave is One Month each. Employee will receive GBP £ 5,000 take home for each leave period.
7.0 FEEDING & ACCOMODATION:
Employee is expected to reside at the ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC. Staff quarters if they so wish. There are double bedroom and flat options for employee to choose from. Family package status is available for employee that wishes to Re-locate with Family.
Employee is entitled to take meals free of charge at the general staff canteens. Dietary options, customized cooks and dieticians are available options.
8.0 MEDICAL EXPENSES:
Employer will provide the employee with comprehensive health care for the term of contract, and follow-on care for injuries suffered during the term of contract for employee and family
9.0 UPFRONT PAYMENT OF SALARY/ ALLOWANCES & BENEFITS:
The three month’s salary (Inclusive of all allowances & benefits) shall be paid in advance before employee re-locates to new job location. All payments of salary after assumption of duty in Kumasi-Ghana shall be 75% paid into an offshore bank account to be provided by employee with the remaining 25% paid in cash to employee. This is in line with the British Expatriate Financial Statutory Laws.
10.0 OFFICE GADGETS TO BE PROVIDED:
LAPTOP COMPUTER: 1.6 GHz Processor, 512 MB RAM (Pentium M), 24XCD-RW, 60GB Hard Drive, Floppy Drive, Integrated Network Adapter, Internal 56K Modem, Spare Battery and necessary software shall be provided for workers in the administrative, secretarial, architectural, layouts and designing departments. Full time Internet access is available for all workers.
11.0 SAFETY & SECURITY:
Safety and security of personnel (local/foreign) facilities on job locations and communities are no small issues, and have been seriously considered to ensure and assure hitch free operations.
All operations on job location are designed to adhere strictly to the standards of Ghanaian Health and Safety Department (GHSD) and Ghanaian Environmental Health Authority (GEHA) as applicable in the civil engineering, construction & environmental health sector.
12.0 ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
Recreational/Sports facilities shall be made available at the disposal of all employees with no expenses to be incurred. Laundry and dry cleaning service will be made available to employee by the quarter’s laundry and dry cleaning unit on request
13.0 TRAVEL PLANS/ RE-LOCATION:
Expenses made/incurred by the Employee related to job before commencement of duties shall be substantiated and reimbursed by the employer on the conditions stated below.
1. The employee will be reimbursed by the employer for reasonable moving expense(s) incurred ONLY as a result of relocation, early termination of leases, storage charges and procurement of travel document, Immunizations etc. Reimbursement shall be made before employee embark on his/her trip to GHANA, not later than seven (7) working days after submission of employee’s expense report and receipt from country of origination.
2. Free GHANA flight ticket will be issued to the employee by the employer as soon as the employee sends copy of visa work permit to the employer.
3. Reimbursement shall be made to ONLY those who applied for them.
4. Expenses made by the employer in relation to house hood equipments (e.g. TV, DVD, Desktop computer etc) pets, and other personal assets shall not be reimbursed as these would be considered employees responsibility.
5. Employee is strongly advised to keep original receipts and evidence of payment(s) of payment made before arrival in GHANA as reimbursement applications made without receipt or evidence of payment shall be denied.
However, for expatriate who do not have valid GHANA visa and work permits papers, are to make contact with our official travel agent here in GHANA for the procurement of visa and work permit. 14. THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT
14.1 This agreement supersedes and replaces all previous contracts, written and verbal, between the parties and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
14.2 Neither party may assign their obligations nor rights under this agreement to any other person in any circumstances whatsoever except with the prior written consent of ETRUSCAN BROTHERS INC.
14.3 No waiver of any breach of this agreement shall be deemed to be a waiver of any other or subsequent breach. The failure of either party to enforce any provision of this agreement at any time shall not be interpreted as a waiver of the provision.
14.4 This Agreement is constructed in accordance with section 6 of Ghanaian Employment Act Bill 2000. A single arbitrator agreed upon by the parties shall decide any dispute between the parties arising out of this agreement.
