Hi!

I am recieving emails of Nokia promo lottery from rev.georgekennedy@yahoo.co.uk
that i have won 45,000 GBP. he is congratulating me still now from the last 1 week. When i replied to him he said my money is in bank woolwich plc i can claim it there. When i contacted the bank through "MD PAUL ONEIL <mdpauloneil@yahoo.com>" he/she said i have to pay some pound to open account there so that they will transfer my money to it. I have send my account(here in pakistan) details for transfering my money. But its a fake. i have send them copy of my ID card. Card number and my Account number and title.
I m worried about it. Please tell me how can i make my self secure.
awaiting for reply.

In short, you can't. You've handed your personal information and apparently, banking/financial information to a known scammer. You need to report this to the issuer of your ID card and see if you can get a new one. You may need to file a police report that your ID is in the hands of a scammer to further protect yourself. Contact your bank and notify them that a scammer has your account number and card number. Cancel the accounts if possible and reopen them with new numbers. Also see if the bank or police can advise you on other ways to prevent the scammer from using your personal information to open up financial accounts in your name.

I just recieved an email from georgekennedy stating that he knew who my birth mother was. He had gotten my email adress from an adoption registry. I haven't responded but i'm glad i saw your posting before i did. I swear people are so sick. They prey upon the weaknesses of others. I'm sorry that this happened to you. But thank you for posting this. Who knows what amt. of money he would have requested from me to arrange for my birth mother and I to meet.
