Looks like spam to me. Even if I thought it was all true, I wouldn't deal with this guy on principle.

I saw a post on Craigslist "Homes to Rent with the option to buy...no credit check!" and clicked on the link with redirected to yourentyoulosehomes.com and a Kyle Waitley pitch. (Just the name sounds fake - I guess maybe you're supposed to think he's related to Denis Waitley.)

I had never heard of him before so I googled him, which led me to this site. So it looks like Kyle is a very active recruiter.

Hey PortlandReader - is that Portland, OR or Portland, MI? I just moved back to MI from Portland OR and would find it exceedingly eerie if you're in OR.

In any case, here (http://yourentyoulosehomes.com/) is the link that I got out of C-List. I really think this sounds like a damn scammer, probably trolling for social security numbers. At the least, if one wants to actually send him a credit report, black out the soci number.

And I too, would refuse to do business with him on principle. Doesn't sound business like at all - totally unprofessional. I'm a small businessman (handywork and remodeling) and I wouldn't dream of emailing any of my clients with bull about my spiffy new haircut. Nor would I use a bloody emoticon with them - especially potential clients.

There is also a "Tim Roberts" with "Homeownershipmadesimple . com" that has the EXACT same wording as the Kyle Waitley "yourentyoulosehomes . com" site and emails. Has to be a scam since they both send you straight to a site to get your credit report & score - which not only costs money but wants all your personal info.

I checked out an ad in CList for "rent to own your own home", and automatically got sent to Kyle Waitley's website. He outlined a 4-step method to become a home owner while "repairing bad credit" in the process. With each step's email, he also sent an auto link to a credit score site, where you get a "free trial" for "only" a dollar, supposedly refundable. I emailed this guy FIVE times, saying I already know my credit score, i don't need to join this club to obtain my credit score. He never answered any of my mail. This sent up a red flag to me, because to obtain a credit score, you have to use your ssn. The way he writes is unprofessional. No business-oriented person would speak this way. But I did NOT proceed with his pitch. Chalk it up to woman's intuition. Then I Googled his name and found this forum where others like me have found the same thing. I urge everyone to avoid these types of scams at all cost. My guess is it's a phishing site for id theft.

I receive daily emails from this person offering easy fix of credit to buy a house...he continually asks for me to give him my personal information to obtain my credit score for $1. So far my intuition tells me not to give this person any info. Says he can get me into a home no matter how bad my credit is and all I have to do is give him permission to check my credit to get this process started. Does anyone else have experience with this person?

Try Googling for "Kyle Waitley" -- lots of hits e.g. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/apa/988843265.html

This is dubious at best... apparently he is using a fake name.

If someone actively works to avoid identification, its because he thinks he'll have very unhappy customers. Do you want to be another of his unhappy customers?

I have been receiving emails from this person this week with only a Wisconsin, USA postal address. This person has not asked for any personal information as yet, but has urged us to get our credit score for $1 and also get us into a rent-to-own house. I am currently in California.

Here is his most recent spam email! This man is SCUM!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

A home is the BIGGEST and BEST investment anyone
will ever make and I'm here to help you get into
the place you've always dreamed of quickly.

We have homes all over the area ranging from...

- Condos, Townhomes, Single Family, and Duplexes

- Rents from 600 to 3,500 a month (and inbetween)

- Downpayments from 1k to 15K (and inbetween)

- We have a huge selection and I guarantee we'll
have something that you'll fall in love with.

You may even be eligible to pick out any home
(that's in your price range) and have us buy it
and then sell it back to you at a MUTUALLY
agreed upon price.

Now you can move into any of the homes we offer...
immediately... and do this with bad credit, awful
credit, or even no credit.

It doesn't matter at all.

However, your name won't officially be on the
deed of your new home until you jack your credit
score up a few points and wipe some things clean.

This is no big deal... we do it everyday... it's
your standard Rent to Own.

Except mine has a twist!

This "twist" is what makes my program better then
anyone elses out there.

You and I need to know what your score as of today.

We need to find your starting point to set you up a
specialized game plan built around your situation.

I mean seriously... who else does this for you?

My goal is to make you a homeowner... that's what
I do and how I make a living.

I don't make any money until I make you the official
homeowner.

So I take what I do seriously and take a lot of pride
in it.

So the next step in my program is for you to get your
credit score... we need to know what it is.

There's no other way around it... you and I have to
see where you're at.

If you go to any broker they'll charge you $25-$50
bucks minimum just to show you your score.

All we require is a $1 transaction fee (and this is
refunded too so this cost you nothing... it's free)

This is done to pull your score and NOT someone
elses. It's the fastest and SAFEST way to get your
score in todays market.

With this $1 investment I'll show you...

- your credit score from all 3 bureaus

- how you can improve it

- negative marks against you

- how you can dispute each mark

- whose holding you back the most

- and so much more!

All of this for just a buck... not a cent more!
(again this $1 investment is refunded)

Go to a broker and pay $25+ for your score or
use the business we use and get it for free

We'll be sending over an email so make sure you
look for it.

You need to get a copy of your credit report and
the faster we know what it is... the faster we'll
start sending you VIRTUAL TOURS of homes that fit
your profile

Get your report instantly over at the email I'm
sending over w/ the subject line...

... for only a $1

See what others had to say about my program...

"When I first went to YouRentYouLose.com I was pretty
skeptical. Then a few days later I'm looking at homes!
Now I'm living in my own home and had no banks to
qualify for and bad credit! Thank you so so much!"

Katie K.

"Hello YouRentYouLose.com, I just wanted to drop you a
quick line and let you know that you know your rent to
own program is a great opportunity for those seeking
home ownership.

The process was just as you stated and it was very smooth.
I appreciate your availability, professionalism, and
honesty throughout the process. I highly recommend your
services to those who are in need of getting into a home,
even if they thought they could not."

Daren D.

"Hello, my family and I wanted to thank you for helping
us get into our own home even though we've been turned
down by lender after lender. It was truly a pleasure
doing business with you! "

Kelsi S.

I'd love to use your testimonial next. But it all
starts with finding out your score and seeing where
you're at today.

I can hear some people now...

"Kyle I just want my list of homes!"

Look... this is why I have the most successful Rent
to Own program out there. Period!

I set you up for success from the start and invest
time in those, who invest time in themselves.

Get on it right now and get your report... get it
over to me... tell me what you're looking for in a
home too so I know what to match you up with on
my list.

We have VIRTUAL TOURS of each property as well.

How cool is that!?!?

A video walk through of each property... the inside,
outside, neighborhood, and much more.

Get your score instantly over at the Email titled...

"View Your Credit Report Instantly"

Talk soon,
Kyle Waitley

Ps - Get your report and you'll immediately be on
the road to personal success and home ownership. I

My husband and I have been taken by Kyle Waitley. We went to his credit report and our card is still being charged and all we get from him is his steps. There has to be something that we can do about him. People don't need to be taken by him anymore. We had no idea that until today that he was a scam artist. I had not received anything in the form of a list of homes, just all about all of his steps. I am completely angry. He must be stopped.

I was on craigslist and found a rent to own area that redirected me to Kyle Waitley's page and now that my husband and I have been to his credit report sites and requested them our credit card has been charged several times. Also, he has our phone numbers and my husband's credit scores but no personal information like ssn or birthday or anythind else. Should we be worried or need to do anything? We would really appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer.

Thank you all for the info. I'd been looking at the idea of lease options and I clicked on his site...now I'm being bombarded with emails. It looked to me as if his bottom line is "Give me your SS #." Now I'm sure that's it.

I also was directed to this site from craigslist. I have sent this guy numerous emails to try and get in touch with him, with no reply back. I sent in my credit score ( which I got from a loan officer) but still have heard nothing. Im afraid this guy is a scam, and is not contacting me because I didn't use his free credit link. I think this site is a way to steal your info and get your bank info. This guy sounds so fake in his emails and unprofessional. I've been a victim of identity fraud before, don't give this guy your information!!!!

I have dealt with both of these guys. The credit reporting agency is scam (there are more than one). DO NOT GIVE THESE GUYS YOUR INFORMATION!!! The e-mails, reviews everything is a scam. I am in southern Ohio and hearing about this guy. I don't care how people think he is good. I have spent 10 hours and $60.00 fixing this over the last two days. Don't waste your time. It sucks.

Frankly, I would suggest you take advantage of Utah's Credit Freeze law.

http://kcpw.org/article/6659

http://www.consumersunion.org/campaigns/learn_more/003484indiv.html#UT

With this in place, no one, and I mean no one, can access your credit report, history, or open any credit in your name without you releasing the hold. It's a minor hassle if you're planning on shopping for a loan, of course, but much cheaper and less hassle than clearing up identity theft.

I was going to register and give my information but then I thought maybe I should google it first. I am glad I did. After reading all of this information, I know he is a scam. Does anybody know of an legitimate rent to own program in the Boston area. My credit is not good but am currently paying almost 2,000 a month for rent. Now with the current credit situation, it is almost impossible to get a loan without good credit.

I'm so glad I checked out this sight. I'm desperate to get out of where I'm living and rent to own seemed like a great idea. I found one of his ads on Craigslist. I have been emailing this guy for over a month. I was unable to use the credit score link. I responded to his numerous emails telling me to get my credit score. I never got a response. I even tried sending a letter to the address provided on his website, it came back undeliverable.

He finally responded to one of my emails with a link to a profile page which he said I needed to complete. It would not open. Frustrated I Googled the website to see if I could find a way to see the profile page and Fraud Watchers came up.

Now here I am telling my story. Lucky for me I had problems with all his links or else I could have been duped. I was really hoping this would be my opportunity to get out of my current living situation. Knowing what I know now, I will be much more careful and do some research before getting my hopes up.

Hey everyone! Greetings from the Mississippi Gulf Coast! I saw Kyle's ad on Craigslist and as I do with everything that sounds fishy I Googled his name + complaint and lo and behold i ended up here. Scroll down these posts and its like a US geography lesson. The "cancer" that is this man has spread to the Biloxi/Gulfport area. What really makes it bad is there are people here still rebuilding from the storm which makes this guy a double scumbag. I believe in aloving God but I also believe he deals with people like this in time. I'm going to contact Craiglslist and I suggest everyone else do the same. This site is awesome! BY the way, if you really want to clean up your credit check out the Dave Ramsey radio show. It's on the RADIO so its free and the man is really good at helping people get out of debt. God bless!

There are ways of home ownership with little to no money down and a reasonable monthly payment that is legal when structured correctly. You should not have to send anyone your credit information to start with. The transaction should be performed through a competent escrow company and no money should be sent to any person directly.

After doing some research, I believe what this "Kyle Waitley" is really doing is getting people to sign up for sites that he/she is an affiliate of. Unsuspecting people sign up for these programs or sites in order to follow all the instructions needed for "Kyle" to get them into a house.

As we patiently wait...("waitley", funny how even the name is mocking us) for "Kyle's" next direction, he receives all the over-rides from the programs that we have signed up for. Now, most of the time people don't read the fine print that says once their trial period is over, their credit card will be charged for the monthly fee to be a member of these sites. "Kyle" is well aware of this fact, and hopes that it takes you a long time to figure out that your card is being charged or even how to stop it from happening. He makes money every month you pay these sites!

"Kyle" had to come up with a way to make the most money he could from these affiliate programs because the company he uses pays on a "pay-for-performance" basis. (www.maxbounty.com, I uncovered through my research) What better way to get the most sign-ups than to dupe the poor unsuspecting people that are desperate to get into their own homes? That's a huge audience! (Use Craigslist to boot!)The idea was brilliant! He would promise people homes that he would never deliver and in return they would sign up for anything he required them to, for him to even consider helping them.

If you pester him too much, he might send you a bogus link to some "profile" that you must fill out first. This all buys him more time to dupe you into spending more money a month. Tick,Tick, Tick...

Once you get wise to the fact that "Kyle" isn't going to deliver ANYTHING, you scramble to find a way to cut off the monthly billings that you've been paying.

It's actually a brilliant scam, using legitimate companies. Unfortunately, this person is only an opportunist who is really good at what he's doing.

Sorry for all you folks that got roped in. I have spent my life working tech projects for companies and helping them use the web. I wish someone could just kill these people. Their dishonest behavior makes me wish I were a baker instead of an engineer.

As a course of action, ISP's know who these people are, or at least who is promoting their domains. ATT and others, simply dont want to take the time to deal with them. Unfortunately, when people get hooked looking for help they get hurt.

While the internet is unregulated, the web is a powerful tool that can work both ways. Writing complaints to the state attorney general will apply real pressure to the ISP's that let this stuff go on. While there are not laws preventing Kyle's (whomever) behavior, ISP's are business' that cannot afford to be complicit in fraudulent business and dragging them in is good as it will treat them like accessories to a crime.

I ran a BBS for 10 years, had several million users. We dont want the govt involved in censorship, but we can aid them to have a more useful web.

Remember, when making your complaints, privacy is not protected by law, but fraudulent charges are. Also, Interstate commerce laws may provide courses of action/remediation. The definitive book on internet privacy is "Proskauer on Privacy." If you are getting taken for substantial sums of $$, try remediating in small claims court against the ISP.

I hate creating problems for my friends the distributors of content but this is long overdue.

Good Luck.

I viewed a website I also saw on CraigsList- and got the same poorly spelled email it appears he sent to you! I replied telling him if he could not speak to me personally- and use correct grammer as an actual professional would- then I had no desire to even attempt to do business with him. None of the reputable real estate agents I know in this area of Louisiana have ever heard of this joker. I believe this is a total scam...just like those bogus Million Dollar awards being "shared" by friendly Nigerians! My credit may be all jacked up- but it didnt get that way quickly, and I realize it wont be fixed quickly. I did it to myself...and I'll have to fix it myself. I dont need some bozo to make it worse!
