Hello,

Thanks for the details, and i want a month coaching for him for an hour per day,so in your calculation for a month is $900,my child is coming to stay in hotel that close to your home for the period of his learning .You are going to recieve the payment before the date, i have contacted my business associate that he should make my funds{$5800} available in payment of some farm equipment i supplied to him.He assured me he would make the payments available. I will instruct him to get the CHECK across to you (ASAP) and as soon as you cash the CHECK you would need to deduct your amount of ($900) from the total of ($5800) and send the remaining balance to the NANNY via western union money transfer who would be using the money to take care of my son and booking of ticket, buy some textbooks for him for practising at home.get back to me your full name on the check, home address,ok.u can also email me to chanmike4real_2007@keromail.com.......

Welcome to Fraudwatchers, tmett5.

You are right, this is indeed a scam. The scammer intends to send you forged checks, and have you send him the money back to him via Western Union or some other untraceable service. This works because when you deposit a check, the bank puts the money in your account before the check actually clears. Once the bank finds out the check is fake, they will come looking for you to pay back the money.

As with all scams, your best bet is to stop contacting them and ignore any emails or phone calls they send you. They will eventually move on when they realize you are not going to pay them.

I've seen a few scammers contact teachers about music or language lessons. They usually find their details on a forum or list where the teachers can advertise.

If you have the time it would be great if you could let other members of the forum/list know that there is a scammer targeting them. You could prevent someone else falling for the fraud that you have spotted yourself!
