Our website is going to do a letter writing campaign to try and get some more media attention to these scams! We will try to send a letter to a different major media outlet every couple of months.

If you would like to join us please check out the information at
http://scamvictimsunited.com/phpBB2...opic.php?t=1519

Just write a letter/summary of what happened to you (you can view mine at http://scamvictimsunited.com/our_story.htm ) and we will all mail them out on MAY 1, 2006

http://scamvictimsunited.com/phpBB2...opic.php?t=1519 for details on who to send to this month.

Thanks!

Thank you Shawn! I've made this a stuck thread to make it more conspicuous.

Thanks! I really hope that together we can get a lot of victims to send their stories in. There needs to be more media attention on these scams, and more warnings out there so that less people will become victims.

Thanks again!

I think that our letter writing campaign may be working!

I have been contacted by a major network evening news show and they are putting together a story on victims of scams and they would like to talk to recent victims of these scams . . . . so if you are a RECENT VICTIM (in the past year) and would be interested in sharing your story with them, please send me (privately)

your full name
your mailing address
your daytime phone number
your evening phone number
your email address

so that I can pass that information on to them and they can contact you directly.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Shawn- whatever happened to this Dateline thing? I haven't heard anything more about it, but I have a ton of info they might be interested in.

We were hoping that a flood of emails and letters from victims would bring attention to these scams and get them interested in doing a story about it . . . no such luck so far, but we will keep trying.
