Yours answers: No, No and No.

• IF YOU DID NOT BUY A TICKET, YOU DID NOT WIN THE LOTTERY. LOTTERY SCAMS ARE DESIGNED FOR IDENTITY THEFT.

If you have opened a Lottery Scam email and given them any information whatsoever, please visit:

www.fraudaid.com/id_theft.htm

• THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A RANDOM EMAIL DRAWING.

• JACKPOTS ONLY COME FROM TICKET SALES, NOT COMPANIES OR CORPORATIONS.

• MOST COUNTRIES ONLY ALLOW THEIR RESIDENTS TO WIN.

• IT IS ILLEGAL FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO PARTICIPATE IN A FOREIGN LOTTERY.

WARNING! LOTTERY WINNING NOTIFICATIONS CONTAIN COUNTERFEIT CHECKS!

Search round our site to get more details on FreeLotto.

It appears that they are probably legal, but definitely also not trustworthy. In particular, their advertising is misleading. If you skim their email, it looks like you already won. However, the key phrase is
upon submitting the winning entry

You have to enter their lotteries, then if you are extremely lucky you will get a "winning entry", which you can then submit to claim your million.

This is NOT an endorsement, just the facts.

Yes, FreeLotto.com is a legitimate outfit. FreeLotto is a Sweepstakes, not a lottery, meaning that you do not have to buy a ticket but you do have to view a great deal of merchant advertisements.

But that's not the problem. The problem is eligibility and knowing how to play from outside the US and Canada. You should never sign up for anything, on or off the web without carefully reading the Terms & Conditions, Rules & Regulations, or whatever it may be called. http://www.freelotto.com/Rules.asp. Scroll down to #6 and #16.

As with any Sweepstakes, FreeLotto sends out lots and lots of advertising to anyone who registers - the process is on automatic. All marketing companies that operate a Sweepstakes do the same thing. They need registrants to view as many of their clients' ads as possible. The marketing company behind FreeLotto is PlasmaNet, Inc.

If you get one, read the advertisement carefully. You did not win.

Darrin Embleton OF Durban, review the official listing below to see if you are qualified to receive a check, upon proper submission in accordance with sponsor rules....

First you have to be eligible according to the rules, then you have to play often enough according to the per-game rules for those who reside outside the US and Canada that you finally put together a winning combination.
