Tenn. Lottery issues warning on scam Powerball letters
NASHVILLE (WATE) -- The Tennessee Lottery is warning people to beware of scam letters suggesting they've won a prize in the Powerball game.
Several Tennesseans say they've received the letters, which also include a request to use an enclosed check to pay fees and claim their winnings.
The Tennessee Lottery never requires fees to claim a prize and asks anyone who receives one of these letters to report it.
There are two ways to report the letter.
You can report it online to the U.S. Postal Service when you click here. (http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/contactUs/filecomplaint.aspx)
You can also call Tennessee Lottery Security at (615)-324-6688.
