Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Jeffrey Dixon I am a retired American soldier, I served in the military of the 1st Armored Division in Iraq , we were posted to leave Iraq and go back to Germany . I am now in UK at the mean time, I and my superior moved funds belonging to Saddam Hussein, the total is $5,000,000.00 (Five million US dollars) this money is being kept safe in a Finance Treasure keeping Company. Click on this link to read about even that took place here:-

Basically since we are working for the government we cannot keep these funds, but we want to transfer and move the funds to you, so that you can keep it for us in your safe account or an offshore account.
We will divide the total funds in three ways, since we are 3 that are involved. This means that you will take 30%, I will take 30%, and my superior will take 30%. 10% will be kept aside for expenses. This business is confidential, and it should not be discussed with anyone. There is no risk involved whatsoever. If you are interested I will send you the full details, my job is to find a good partner that we can trust and that will assist us.
Regards

Jeffrey Dixon

This Dixon email is one of thousands of scam military emails that are being sent out every day. This one does have a slight twist over last year's barrage. Last year, the soldiers were still in Iraq and trying to move $25 million as an average, out of the country.
It appears that these newer ones show the soldier is now retired or on his way home. (there are still carryovers from last year stating soldier is still in Iraq and these renewed themselves in January 2008)

These are all scams. The link provided in the email was used constantly last year. Most of the alleged soldiers found money in barrels at various locations in Iraq and his superior even okayed the transfer out of the country, according to the emails. Sgt Clayton posted here in Fraudwatchers is a very big military scammer. http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=13166

Prepared by the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)

SPAM INVOLVING THE U.S. MILITARY

The FBI continues to receive reports of spam e-mail which claim to be from an official of the U.S. military sent on behalf of American soldiers stationed overseas. The scam e-mails vary in content; however, the general theme of each is to request personal information and/or funds from the individual receiving the e-mail.

Be wary of any e-mail received from an unknown sender which either requests personal information of the recipient or solicits the submission of money for any reason. It is suggested that e-mails from unknown senders not be opened by the recipient because they often carry viruses or other malicious software within the e-mail.

IF YOU RECEIVE AN E-MAIL SIMILAR TO THIS, PLEASE FILE A COMPLAINT AT WWW.IC3.GOV.

Headers should be in the email sent to IC3.
