Tonight I had the pleasure of speaking with a Katherina Craig. The following conversation was simply in jest and to see how far a scammer will go with their lies.

Myself as the dear, yet poor, Jenny Holtz

And the infamous puppy scammer being played by a scammer from Amsterdam!

The saga begins with a search for free yorkies on google. I end up on Ad Flakes which brings me to http://kcraig011.member.adflakes.com/ She or He has quite a few ad's and I pick one to respond to. Send off a quick email asking if the puppy was still available and got a classic "The puppies are this big and just adorable and oh they need a home so bad" response right back. We then moved the conversation to IM. The conversation is as follows:

Jenny Holtz: Oh hanging in there! I don't know where you live, but where I am at

would have to keep them in a kitchen drawer when I go to bed

I have not and would not do any of the above mentioned things to an animal and merely wanted to see if this person would really send a dog into those types of conditions. Thanks!

Thank you for posting, kelly powell who traces to Kenya (IP number 77.220.4.86)... what on earth would someone in Kenya be doing adopting a puppy from the Cameroon??

When will you scammers realize that posting your lies, and your feeble attempts at trying to legitimize your crimes, on a website that deals exclusively with scams and scammers, is as futile as trying to grasp air?

Oh... and thanks for confirming that it's a scam... not that we were in any doubt beforehand, but it's always good to have verification from the horse's mouth! :thumbup1:

I realize that this site probably isn't a big site on posting baits, but I was so psyched that night after that bait that I couldn't help myself. I love this site in comparison to a few of the other big names out there but I haven't checked out either of the sites you gave! So thanks!!!!!!!!

Katherina Craig is no longer. She is now using the name "Claudia Franke". I know she is the same woman or maybe man because she is using the same language. she resides in st. alberta cameroon island, which isn't even a real place. she keeps asking me, "when do you need this puppies?" her improper english is giving her away... anyway, she was going to "give [me] this puppies for free, [i] just need to pay transportation fee of $175."

I can't believe this, I almost fell for this scam! I was on a certain website (not sure if I am able to post it - if so then I will, someone let me know please)...anyway I saw some Yorkie puppies for free, or a low price, can't remember the amount but it was appealing to me because I couldn't believe it was true. So I emailed this person, actually a couple of different ones on this website. And they replied back, but it seems that they always ended up being out of the states, and this email I am going to share with you is from a man who is supposedly doing some type of business meeting in Cameroon Africa. I never in a million years thought that I would ever get this close to some a scam like this, but here I am reporting it to you all. It really annoys me knowing that this happens and I was almost a victim, until I started doing research. Here is his first email to me (does this seem familiar to any of you):

"thanks for your interest in my puppies.they are still available but
there is a little problem and the problem is that i left the united
states yesterday for a conference in ST Alberta Cameroon and i will
probably be here for a week so if you really need this puppy then
there is no problem i will be able to transport them from here to you
o.k.all i need is a good home for this my babies.but you will have to
answer me some few questions
ARE YOU A PET BREEDER?
HAVE YOU ANY PET EXPERIENCE?
ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THIS PUPPY?
HOW SOON DO YOU WANT THE PUPPY?
ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?
i mean no offense o.k all i want is a good home for my puppy that
is all.so get back to me with this information so we can start the
flight arrangements because it means we will be flighting the puppy or
puppies.i know you will find it difficult to send money out of the
continent but just do this for the sake of this puppies.the climate
and food here is not good but i never knew before coming here so that
is why me and my wife is looking for a good and religious home to adopt
this puppies.if that is okay by you get back so we can proceed as soon

I went to this site (not sure if I can tell you the name), anyway well I posted my request and received three responses and all three seemed a little weird so I did some research and just as I thought...scam artists!!! $135 for a TeaCup Yorkie??? For the last day and a half some woman with the email address of daizzyvicnet@yahoo.com has been emailing me. She says she had 3 teacup yorkies to find a good home for. Well I told her I would not pay before getting the puppies. She replied that how could she know I would pay once I got them. The emails went on back and forth forever. Now she tells me the puppies have been shipped. Next I get an email from cam_france pet shipping. You're puppies are here but their crate has been damaged and we can not send ahead until you pay for a new crate. I replied this is out of the question that was the sellers responsibility. Now they are telling me that I can Western Union the money for a rental $45. rather than buy. These people are good they have several different email addresses and websites to make themselves look legitimate. Please be careful out there so many people just want to rip you off.

So I was looking for puppies to adopt and I came across a site called BuyandSell.com. I found a listing for FREE AKC teacup and standard Yorkies..."Wow," I thought. So I emailed the lady. Monalisayorkies007@yahoo.com is her email address. She replied quite promptly, saying she was from St Alberta Cameroun Island (I googled the place cause I don't know where the crap that is...turns out she misspelled it, how the crap can you misspell where you live?! anyway...) and she would charge me 185 dollars to ship the poor pup from St Alberta Cameroun Island. Wanted to know if I had a job, where I live, if I was married with kids, if I had pet experience....

And while I was googling St A C Isl....I came across this. Thank you for posting this...Obviously the names have changed, but the scam is still the same.
