i wanted a puppy for my sister in law and my self i found this lady name margaret silje from Chicago IL wanting to give her to yorkies for adoption her she send me pictures of the puppies she was sending the puppies through an agency call petsshipping agency i had to send 350 for the delivery of the puppie through money gram... which of course my dumb a** did send them the money after they email me saying their were sending the puppies the same day that they will arrive tomorrow morning at my doorstep which didn't happen i been emailing the lady and shes been telling me not to worry the puppies will be coming soon also the company keeps calling me that their been a little delay due to the dogs needing insurance to travel then that they need a new crate ... my husband told me it might be or was a fraud. i didn't want to believe him as magaret assures me its not but i lost all faith and believe i got scam by her and the pet agency. they said to send the money to a asongwe blausis in Cameroon i should of new it was a fraud from the beginning but i was so excited to get the pups and this is the first time this happens to me ...... i found the pups in oodle.com

There is obviously a huge scam going on here at the moment. I was looking for a Yorkie for my daughter and every free advertisment for dogs are a scam! Any free email i.e: yahoo, hotmail, bluemail are scams!

They say they are in Melbourne, Cairns and Perth!

I contatced breeders in Victoria and they say there is no such thing as a "teacup" dog in any breed!

I had a Kijiji post wanting a Pomeranian puppy. These people changed their location to be within Canada. The 2nd email was them asking for photos of the puppies I was selling which was not what my ad said.

from all the messages, this one is a bit twisted. We had email exchanges and end up with this: i will only give the shipping fee ONCE i get the puppy (on hand, in flesh) .. now I am confused and cannot find the fraud part now. pls help. concerned ones can email me at <removed> so that I can access to your help ASAP.

The fraud is, there is no puppy! If you insist, as you have, that you pay them when you receive the puppy, you have just defeated the fraud.

No, you will not pay once you have received the puppy. The scammers know that word is out there, so they are trying a new twist. They will send the puppy that doesn't exist and you'll probably get an email from the shipper asking for either "refundable" insurance (that doesn't exist either!) or a different crate for the puppy...they WILL get your money, no matter what you think.

Found a listing for Pomeranian puppies for sale in my town. I emailed the person and told them I wanted more info. They sent a bunch of pictures of 4 puppies they had-Max, Austin, Meli and Bella. She said they wanted $160 per puppy and that would include all costs nothing else. She also told me that she was in the Peace Corps and was moving and unable to keep the dogs.

After reading the numerous emails, I started to notice differences like they would say he not she or say the wrong dogs name. Also the prices would be different in each paragraph and as the conversation went on, they became pushy saying the dog had to be delivered tomorrow. Their English wasn't the best also. When I told them I knew they were scammers, she kept telling me shes a "Christina" woman of faith.

While looking for a Pomeranian I found an add and sent the seller a message and recieved the following email from a "VICTORIA PAT":

In placing my babies up for adoption, 2 males ( max and Austin ) and 2 female ( meli and Bella ) ,

Max is the one in the first picture he is white and a little gray, he is fawn and very sociable,he is 11 weeks old as well and one of the males. Max is 1.7 lbs now and will be about 4.5 to 5 lbs full grown.

meli is the one in the second picture she is brown and a little white,she is very cool and also very sociable as well and will be a very great addition to your family.she is 11 weeks old and she is one of the females . meli is 2.1 lbs now and will be about 5 to 6 lbs full grown.

Austin is the one in the third picture he is white and a little brown very very beautiful and very awesome.he he is 11 weeks old and also a male. Austin is 1.9 lbs now and will be about 5 lbs full grown.

I'm looking for reasonable, prudent and experienced person who can offer them tenderness, nursery with lots of kisses and hugs love .This adorable, cute and lovely puppies are 11 weeks old and would be perfect for you.He will be the best playmate you have ever dream of.With this great personality and temperament, good with children and other pets, is to steal Your soul.

They would come together with records and training, and all their A.K.C registration papers attached to their package with lots of play toys.You have nothing to worry about Feeding, because I also attach their hand book and the menu of administration to its package OK. I am just being concerned about the type of home that my babies will be going to, so that is why i am curious to know. We love them so much and we want to make sure they go to a family that will show them the love they deserve.

all papers, diapers, dog blanket, play toys, crate and food menu. they are very playful and friendly with kids and other home pets.

they love to be held and cuddled and sometimes wants all the attention to them self. So if you can stand the chance of taking them home, you will only need to pay for their delivery fee which is going to cost you $160 for each & you could have them home with you latest by tomorrow if you wish.

But i am sorry i first of all need to know the answers to my questions before i will know if we can proceed with the delivery arrangements.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for having this thread up for my family was almost scammed by these people. I was just looking at www.pennysaverusa.com and found a lady claiming to have Pomeranian Puppies. She said she had three of them, two boys and one girl all 11 weeks old. There names were Jenny, Diego, and Bruno. Below is the first email I got from them:

Of course this made me suspicious for Cameroon is in Africa! According to the site I found the ad on they were claiming to be from Aiken, SC. So, I did some searching and found this thread. Thank you so very much for posting this! It saved us who knows how much money!

Actually now that I look at it, I realized I found two of the scams. One for the Pomeranian puppies and one for Yorkie puppies. Earlier, I had not put together that they both were scams, but now looking over this whole thread I realize that both are for sure scams. The Pomeranian email was: castella_rodney@yahoo.com and the Yorkie email was: melisacolly@yahoo.com

With the Pomeranian one, we actually started getting text messages from them, do you need the number they were using?

Have another mail from a scammer: kendyfarm@yahoo.de

it is the same mail as i've seen here but i answered it to get an adress or phone number.

the mail is in dutch and you can see that it is a bad translate

I allerted the site were i found it and also made an ad with a warning

(sorry for my bad english because i'm from belgium but i just want to help other people so that they don't fall for these add's)

I have just found this site. I have an add on gumtree for a new tea cup maltese, i was sent an email by a mac bushner an i almost parted with money, until a company called western union alerted me that it was not real. The delivery company was called airpet based in camaroon 'which of course is not real'. I also proceded to contact airports to ask what companies they use to deliver livestock,' which i recomend everyone should', the airports where aware of a scam. I reported the name mac bushner and airpets to gumtree. I left my add up on gumtree and i have recieved another email from a billy ray for more tea cup maltese puppies and they are now using a company called v3 shippers international which with more research i've found that these are the same people. I would really like to know how we can stop them?

You can't stop them. What would be very helpful is if you posted the exact name of the websites of these fake pet delivery companies. Simply posting the name of the company doesn't help because the scammers use names of real pet delivery companies but fake sites. We need to know the sites they are using so that we can remove them. Also, the name of the scammer is not as useful as the actual email address he is using. That helps to alert potential victims. Also, please post the name and address, etc, they requested that the money be paid to via Western Union. to weigh 9-12 lbs at full grown they are very intelligent and playful

church missionary in Cameroon as the senior clark of all baptist
schools in Cameroon. i will have to send the puppies to you through
flight meaning, all you have to pay is just the flight fee for the
puppies to be delivered to your address. sending one will cost 50 euro
and the two will cost 90 euro. please by answering the following
question will guarantee me if you will take good care of them.

fernado glem told me that he gave his pups to some pet delivery office and i have to sent them 100$ as the delivery charges of the pups. delivery site is http://www.petcourierservice.net.tc/ the site has all the information, peoples testimonials, and different affilaition certificates from IATA , DEFRA etc. i have sent them 100$ on 13-07-2011 , in the evening they sent me another email with flight details but they asked me for 900$ as insurance charges, i dont have that much money so i refused to take the pups, mr fernado glem mailed me that he talked to company and they agree on 500$, i still cant pay 500$ so he told me to deposite 200$ and the remaining will be paid by him.
i have deposited those 200$ on 14-07-2011, they gave me their office address Madina Road, Jeddah 42398, Saudi Arabia
which is not valid. i called all numbers they are not responding.

I'm sorry that you were scammed. NO, you will not be getting your money back and ANY email telling you that an investigation is going on and that your money will be retrieved is a scam. Please do not even answer them and report the fraud to your local police...the one you can see in person. ;)

Unfortunately, there is no action that can be taken. Please read: "Anatomy of a Pet Scam" below this post. You can file a fraud report with Western Union and with http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx however that will get your money back. The important thing to remember that anytime someone you don't know wants you to send money to them via Western Union/MoneyGram they are scammers.

I almost fell for him!
First the ad online said he lived in Seattle, then when i contacting him he said he was in Chicago. When he sent me the address to send the money too, it said TIKO CAMEROON.
I was too dumb to see the red flags so i went and proceeded the 200$ payment to Western Union. I went home that night and did a little research on puppy scams, turns out he was apparently selling English Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Shih Tzu,Golden Retrievers, Siberian Huskys, all of those dog ads were linked with the same email address!! After i figured it was a scam i quickly cancelled my payment, (It was 12 hours after i had payed) and luckily i was able to get my money back.

When I first emailed him, he had perfect grammar and such but after a couple replies back, his grammar seemed to change and it sounded foreign almost. He would always say "ok" in his sentences. He also required me to pay the 200$ before he sent the dog. What confused me was he seemed to have copied the email's of "Air Animal Pet Movers" and had sent it to me thinking he had delivered my Male, Yorkshire terrier to that company. He also kept getting confused on which dog i had ordered because he kept asking if i wanted the male or female after i had already told him many times. The dog was supposedly set for departure at 3 PM and was supposed to get to my house at 7 AM. And ofcourse at 7 AM, no dog. He emailed me at 11 AM and said i went to the agency to receive my payment, but nothing was there so if you will mail the payment again, i will assure you the dog will come. But he checked the agency 3 hours AFTER the dog was supposed to come. TOTAL FRAUD. Again watch out for:

Thank you for taking the time to post ALL of these scam mails. Yes, even the last is one of them, Re-read all of the emails you have posted and note the "script" similarities, as the bunch of questions. There is no doubt that it's just that.

The fact is that you will not find a great deal on your puppy on the net. ALL of the online ad sites are infested with these petscam ads without a single exception.

If you want to give yourself the chance to own this puppy of your dreams, look around with your local shelter, as well as with this breed's rescues....again local of course! Otherwise, all you will encounter are these too good to be true deals that sell pets that never existed.

I contacted a man offering siberian huskies, the first mail was very convincing, asking if i had had huskies before etc., they had been hand reared etc., etc., but as time (an e-mails) went on he kept on about the delivery costs, I kept on about "seeing" the puppy before I gave over any money.

He became quite rude saying that the puppy was getting sick (I replied why would I pay delivery costs on a sick puppy?), that my "family" could have been enjoying the puppy now IF I had paid!- he probably thought it was a promised present for a child - CAN YOU IMAGINE! IF I had paid over the money (and I had a child) we would have gone to the airport to "collect" the puppy..... DON´T be fooled. This was all in Spanish, it is in Spanish local ad newspapers and all over the internet. This particular puppy appears in MANY different countries on the net, and it is always the same puppy (black and white, sitting, very distinctive markings - probably a champion from somewhere, but definately not a "real" "free" puppy. I think these guys are APALLING, using people and their love of animals in this way. I hope you find a great puppy, my last one I found in the street, he was with me 16 years, and I never regretted a day of it - I hope you get so lucky!

I was just recently sucked into a cameroon puppy scam about pugs. The man said they were his mothers and she just passed away and wanted to give them to a good home. Offered her for free just pay for shipping $250 .. Contential Pet Transopration was the name of their fake company.. needless to say never got the puppy but cancelled my western union transaction to them in just enough time - watch out for the email address dr.mark2010@yahoo.com .. scam scam scam! Hello, I'm from Brazil - Rio de Janeiro and was a victim of these fraudsters !!!!!!
I was looking for Chihuahua puppies to give as a birthday present for my daughter, I made several contacts by e-mail messages to several vendors that I found on the Internet. Until I received the email from a person calling themselves "Conchita Queiroz" (I do not remember seeing the announcement thereof) with photos of puppies, I was in love with one of them and asked details and price. She replied that the figure was R $ 265.00 + shipping, I found very cheap and then asked where she was and she replied that she was from Florida. I replied that it was not feasible, but she mentioned the name of the carrier was already accustomed to using: GK Airfreight SERVICE. She urged the sending of money to be made to such carrier, through "Western Union" with the following data:

Once deposited the value of the transport and purchase of the animal (R $ 365.00) on 15/07/11, to the carrier requested that the money deposited to the International Animal Export Insurance in the amount of $ 1149, 00, but that this amount would be refunded when the animal arrived at my house. I tank back up to the same recipient, as they asked. Then they responded by saying that the animal would take an Air France flight that would take the U.S. to France and from there to Rio, I found it strange but they said they had not gotten a direct flight to Brazil. I was expecting the arrival of the animal on 17/07 and nothing! I received an email from the "airport of Paris", saying that the animal would have been quarantined due to lack of vaccines and documentation. Soon after I received e-mail asking for more of the carrier R $ 1,225.00 to the documents provided were: anti-rabies vaccination, tag ID, count, statement of the importer and International Animal Health Certificate. Argued, because I thought the dog should not have gone to Paris and that the carrier was so knowledgeable, did not know the need for all this documentation before? But the seller said that the costs were the buyer. As I took pity on the animal have been arrested, did the deposit back (always with the same data). On 21/07 I received an email from the "airport of Paris", the Quarantine Department, saying that the veterinarian had recommended that the animal could not travel in a cage common because the puppy had already undergone a lot of stress which should be an electronic thermal cage and that his rent would be R $ 1,355.00, but that value would be 85% refundable. Well, after this last deposit made me feel very bad and I suddenly snapped, to discover the IP messages. That's when I realized I was being mistaken as to the IP vendor and the carrier has assumed the same origin: Cameroon, the same country made the deposits. On 27/07 the carrier sent me this e-mail the animal's flight ticket from Paris to Rio, only the flight number did not match because I was on the website of Delta Airlines to check. Yesterday (04/08) I sent an e-mail to see if she still had courage to respond .. Not only replied as he said he would not be getting more in touch with me, because her husband had died and then get in touch to talk to Paris airport to see what had acontecido.Tempo later responded by saying that the airport was charging fees for the time Bonni's stay in quarantine, or over U.S. $ 1720.00. I have all the emails we exchange deposits and vouchers, but did not send more money .... How long they will continue with the crimes ???????
