Hi,

Unfortunately me and my family have been scammed by these people within the last couple of days. We recently lost our family pet we've had for a number of years and were looking for a new dog when we came across the scammers advert on the website oodle.co.uk. They were advertising golden retriever puppies.

The layout of the emails are very similar to what has already been posted. The emails were williamroben@hotmail.co.uk but what I did find odd was that when you went to press "reply" after we were sending emails to this person was that it would often go to a kalvingold@yahoo.com. Kalvingold would ask for £200 due to the distance of delievery (which to be fair they were claiming they were right at the top of Scotland and I'm a way way from there) but then they went back on that under williamroben saying it was still £150.

Like with everyone else they asked us to pay with western union and my dad was in pets r us this morning looking for baskets etc that we thought would be for our new puppy and they were rushing him to get home and reply to the email.

We sent the £150 and then they started asking for £700 in insurance and said we'd get this back once the puppy was brought here. By this point we smelt a rat and got the police involved. Unfortunately they could do nothing. We feel so so stupid but fell in love with the puppies on the photos.

Just thought I'd would add a warning please don't fall for the same mistake we did.

Unregistered, I'm sorry you did get caught. Can you please post the name of the receiver of your dad's money by Western Union, as well as any telephone number he may have provided. These are also bits and pieces that people google for when looking for information. :)

I have just come across this scam also, but it seems like they may be using a search engine to find information on the city you say you live in. The ad I saw said the seller was in Brisbane, same as me, but then his email said Perth, which is literally the other side of Australia. Another ad I found posted by the same seller for a different breed says he is in Melbourne, a city south of me.

Luckily for me I have worked in the freight industry and as soon as the "invoice" came through I thought it was all a little suspicious, especially the forwarding money to Cameroon part! And the so called flights that they are putting the dog on, well I have also luckily worked as a travel agent and have never seen a flight code like that before!

In the end I just sent an email back to the so called dog breeder advising him that I do not wish to proceed with this delivery company but am happy to make arrangments through one of my own choice...no reply

Oh and I also searched online for the apparent delivery service which of course I could not find. The one they used in my email was DOMESTIC VIBE DELIVERY SERVICE.

However there was another name at the bottom of GLOBAL PET EXPRESS which incidentally when I googled, led me to this very Fraud website, so thank you for all posting online and spreading awareness.

I saw the add for English Bulldog puppies in my local ads from oodle.com and emailed the person to ask a few questions. I then noticed the seller was actually from Florida so I emailed right back explaining never mind and that I wanted to see my puppy before i Bought one. Well she emailed me back anyway with the same long letter everyone else is getting saying shes now in Ohio. I had a bad feeling after I saw the puppies pictures on Google images, cause she sent me like 15 pics. Any way shes a regular here with new email.

I wrote the last post and decided to go back to the original site where I saw the ad. Anyway there were people posting and asking questions to someone much as i did. So I emailed him also and it was just like the email before, but now a guy, still in Ohio always they both refer to the "babies". I actually wrote Facebook messages to the people who were interested in the puppies telling them about this sight. So the new name is

I'm sorry you got scammed unregistered. Would you please post the name of the person you sent money to by Western Union, as well as any telephone numbers they may have given you? These are all things people Google for when searching for information. ;)

These folks just don't give up trying to Scam puppy loving, trusting people. As always, if it's to good to be true, it probably is. So we searched before sending any information to these SIBERIAN HUSKY PUPS they're trying to sell, specially since I didn't understand what "Sandra" was saying when she said "I'm transfering to Quincy, Cameroon. Never heard of Quincy as a city in Cameroon.

Very clever with the sad story of having to give the puppies up, cause she's being transfered to Cameroon. Also a nice touch on pictures of a lady with Siberian Husky pups, one female, one male, just so they encompass everyone looking for a pup, no matter the sex.

I was very glad to come across these and other posts about the Cameroon puppy scam. I have been in correspondence with the woman who told me her and her husband and 2 year old daughter are in Cameroon working with the World Health Organization and can't keep the Yorkie puppies that they had here in the U.S. Everything seemed too good to be true and I decided to do some extra research and boy I am glad I did!

I think I was also nearly a victim to puppy fraud. I contacted a seller regarding 2 Newfoundland puppies based in Oxford. When I contacted him they were actually in Ireland as his mother had just died. He sent me a link to a courier called 'World Pet Shippers' and that I had to send £600 via Western Union to the manager in Cameroon and then the puppies would arrive 8 hours! Before I paid this I investigated the company and couldn't find any information on it apart from the link on the e-mail he had sent. I believe that I narrowly missed being scammed. However without reading these threads I probably wouldn't have realized as I was so caught up in buying the puppies! When I spoke to anyone on the phone they were foreign with very bad English! However once I realized this I went back to the original ad to inform the website and realized what was in that ad was a completely different story to the subsequent one I received. His details were Paulo Anestro, pauloanestro@gmail.com, 07055179457. Please don't fall for it!

There is no doubt it was a scam and I'm glad you got out of it. Please read: Anatomy of a Pet Scam. (http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47800) so it doesn't happen again. Basically, buying a pet without seeing it first or paying anybody you don't personally know with Western Union or any kind of wire or money transfer sets you up to be scammed. Don't do either! Please post the url of the website you were sent to and the Western Union receiver information you were to pay the $600 to!

It's a scam. There is no puppy! No legitimate company would use a free email address such as movingpets_intl@rocketmail.com!!!!! They are not even in the U.S. and they can't turn you over to the FBI or anybody else. Ignore them! Do not send them any more money! Please read: Anatomy of a Pet Scam. HI ALL! I was browsing online when I came across some adorable pug puppies! I already knew that there were a lot of scammers out there so I decided to see if this was a scam or if it was legit.
The ad said that there were 4 puppies and they were free to a good home because the owner had had an accident and needed to go back to the UK for treatment on his leg.
It sounded kinda legit and there were 5 really good quality photos of the puppies in a little bed. It was the photos that almost made me think that this was real because of the quality.

Anyway I sent an email and this was the reply:

toys & feeding menu. They shall also come along with a small pan for

for treatment since I had an accident and it greatly affected my legs.
I am not sure of coming back until God knows when.

3- Do you got experience in keeping pets?

I have found a couple of things to look out for as far as Yorkies. A person posing as a wife in the U.S. states that her husband has been transfered to Cameroon. Name like Ambe Shu, Vanessa White, Jessica Andez and beware of any web page like ????????.hpage.com as well as email addresses vanwhite77@yahoo.com and jessicasandez@yahoo.com. They want money wired to someone in Cameroon. The last person's name was Ambe Shu. Stay tuned, I think there is more.

One thing we learned about Western Union! If you put a question and answer on the wire transfer the scammer picking up the money does NOT need to know it if they have ID. When these people tried to pry more money out of us we checked the transfer status and the money had already been picked up.

There is a direct flight to your location today that will be arriving tomorrow, I paid everything at the airport, But they came up with a problem of insuring the puppy before can leave the airport. They said any pet that is to be shipped must be insured. That the reason for this is that they are making sure nothing happen with the puppy during the shipping or should anything happen with, they will take the responsibility to pay you back everything. So they are asking us to put a deposit of $380 so they can get all that for us. That $350 is just standing as a deposit and will be refunded once you sign the receivers form when getting her and the $30 will be going for the papers work.

Please i am sorry for all this for not have let you know of, I never knew all this will be needed. They also said she will be needing to come over with a temperature regulating crate and they charge $35 for that, but i already paid for. So please if you can just do the $380 and keep the question and answer so my husband can give me the approval to go withdraw it from his ban and go pay to get everything ready for the baby to come over tonight, that will be great ok. I actually understand how you may feel about this, but i see its a very good thing if the baby travel with an insured health ok. I tried asking them to get her over without all that, but they said that is not optional but i just see that they are doing their job to make sure they satisfied their clients with the best services, perhaps the money will be refunded once you have NINA ok. Please get back to me so we can handle this asap for the baby to leave tonight and arrive tomorrow.

I too have been almost scammed by these horrible people!
I was looking for a Japanese spitz, found this website http:www.cutespitz.webstarts.com
and saw a beautiful range of puppies, particularly "coline" who was 13 weeks
toilet trained and loved hugs, so i inquired, the website looked legit, they had
pictures of kids playing with puppies.

The emails are basically all the same as everyone has written i told her all
about me, was willing to look after the puppy, they answered my questions,
the price did seem to good to be true at $250 but i guess i was caught up
in the moment, i gave them my address and phone number and they were going to
Fly her from Perth to Melbourne ( a three hour plane ride)

When I received an email with a legit western union logo asking for money to go to cameroon
i got suspicious. I heard of Nigerian scams and if the puppy was delivered in Australia it would be a australian bank account. I googled puppy scams and all the info came up. The delivery guy called me
and i said to him i think this is a scam. He ignored me and kept asking for payment. I told him in the next few days.

The whole thing unraveled when I found pictures of "coline" and all the other puppies on
Google images, that the scammers stole and put on the website, the supposed website never updated info on
The puppies (coline remained 13 weeks for 3 weeks) the English was not so good in the emails
and they said she was American Kennel club registered ( i live in Australia)

I blacklisted the so called delivery number, ive blocked the email address of the supposed seller
Cutespitz@yahoo.com, this was two days ago, i feel stupid that i should have researched this further
before giving out my address and mobile number. Hopefully they have given up, I,ve reported all the
details to scamwatch, i.hope they catch them!

I hope this helps other people, if a puppy seems too good too be true, it probably is!

I was dumb enough and vulnerable enough for ms. Castellas handy work!! I have wanted an English Bulldog puppy for years, but they are so expensive I always passed it up. So one day I decided to do a search online and I found a site where this couple from TN had 3 English bulldog puppies. BRUNO, DIEGO, & JENNY. Sent them the money now they want $740 for ins fees for the airline. She told me they would be flying delta, so I called Delta Airlines and they lady from Delta told me that they DO NOT ship animals from Cameroon EVER. Then the lady proceeds to tell me that they have had alot of scams online from Cameroon. She said to go to www.ipata.com ............................................................ .......anyways i just stumbled on this site and imagine my surprise when i see another UNREGISTERED that was looking for Pomeranian.. when you posted the exact same emails ms. Castella had written me RIGHT DOWN TO THEIR NAMES!!!! I wish i would have found this site yesterday. I did as much research as I could and couldn't find anything on her. and now what do you know after Ive already spent 160 dollars I found it. But anyways Ive learned my lesson PLEASE GO WITH YOUR GUT FEELING PEOPLE I HAD A GUT FEELING THIS WAS A SCAM AND I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED!!

I saw the ad for Alaskan malamutes on pets4homes.com I really want a dog 4 my children 4 Christmas and they are sooooo cute. I tried ring harold raphael but no answer I emailed him and I got a very detailed email back. He also said he was in Scotland the dog would need to be shipped to me. I paid £150 yest morning was on the phone all day and had emails off them then an hour before the dog was due to fly I got an email saying the e-crate she was in was damaged and they needed £130 to get another 1 which would be refunded when I got my dog. I went to the post office to pay it and the woman asked if I new this person I was sending money to when I explained why I was paying it she told me it was a scam, my heart dropped I couldn't believe it I've lost most of my children's Christmas money I am gutted. I rang the company back up but they are adamant it is not a scam and my dog is with them. I have reported it to the police, action fraud and money gram I can't believe I've bin so stupid they told me last night I could have my money back and now they are saying I can't because it paid for the dogs flight and is not refundable. Has any1 else got there money back? The shipping company is called Equine pet express international and is so called based at Aberdeen airport in Scotland. I'm sorry to tell you that there is no doubt whatsoever that its a scam. You certainly can't expect the scammers to admit they are scacmming you. If they were honest, you wouldn't be in this position in the first place. There is no shipping company and no dog and they were never going to give you your money back. It's all a scam. Hi, Yet another person here that was almost, but not quite sucked in by this vicious Cameroon Scamming. The person contacting me, even as early as this morning Australian time, is calling themselves "Elizabeth Moore".
She's advertising Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, a little girl and a little boy.
In her first email to me after I contacted her, through a very reputable site, orginally stated that she lived in Adelaide, and had to regretfully part with the pups for free because her son is very sick and allergic to all animals.

I wrote back and said we would love to go over this coming weekend to view the pups, all of a sudden she's now in Cameroon looking after her sick mother, and has the pups with her!! I was a little confused at first, sending another email asking if I understood correctly that she had the pups with her, and wonder how she managed that one.

She contacted me again last night to confirm that they are indeed in Cameroon. She also send photos of the most adorable looking pups, which of course got both myself and my husband sucked in to wanting one.
She stated that she could ship them out pronto..and all I would need to pay would be Au$180.00 to have them delivered to my front door.

Now this is when I became really suspicious, and asked about how she could bypass our quarantine laws here, as they are very strict. She didn't quite answer, just that she was able to get the pup to me within a few hours and to the front door. She only wanted a good home for them, no money for herself.

I thought it would be best to do a Google search on Cameroon, and Rabies.
That's when I found this site.

I am now in the process of emailing her and telling her of my suspicions, and then will await to hear what her excuses are. Which I will post on here.

It really sounds like it is run by a few people as all emails sound so familiar.
This needs to be stopped.
I'm just glad my instincts kicked in, in time.

to have any animals come in from overseas, that might carry the disease.

In searching I came across a very interesting site, that was about people in Cameroon advertising puppies, and what I read has alerted me to the fact that
you are possibly one of these people. The site was talking about how they are scamming people. And strangely enough the emails that they are sending to people wishing to buy their puppies are very much in line with exactly what you have been writing.

With that in mind, I think it is best that I do not take the risk of thinking I am going to get a puppy, then find out it is another of the very common Cameroon scams that are happening.

So Elizabeth, I am unwilling to take this any further, as I now cannot trust that you are not just trying to scam me.

We reside in Hallett Cove, have lived in the same home for 33 years.
We have been married for going on 42 years, so are not spring chickens, but not too old either.
We're in our late 50's, have 2 grown children and 7 grandchildren, ranging from 16 years old down to 6 months old.

from my babies [pets] for a full day.

My husband works as a Production Manager at a Wine Label printing firm, which can be very stressful at the pick of the wine season.

We had a beautiful Beagle called Bridget who unfortunately passed away from complications with her heart in August, she was
our baby, and it's been extremely hard without her, especially for my husband, who is quite depressed still and needs another
four legged friend to love and relax with after a hard days work.

We also have a cat Tia who tolerates dogs, and is also very spoilt and loved, but she's not filling the whole that Bridget left quite enough.
We have always had dogs since being married, we've had an Irish Setter, an American Cocker Spaniel, Bichon Frise' and a Beagle, all except
Bridget lived long and happy lives, reaching the ages of 14 for the Cocker and Bichon and 12 for the Irish Setter, Bridget was almost 8.
They are always more inside dogs than outside, if you have a pet to us they are a family member and are loved as a just that.

No we are not breeders, and do not intend to ever become breeders.
As stated above, we are a married couple in our late 50's with grown children and 7 grandchildren.
We are ready to take a puppy now, we're not overly fussed which sex we prefer, but at the moment are
thinking more on a female, but it doesn't really matter.
We know about feeding daily and would feed whatever diet you recommend for the pups.
I walk a lot, as I don't drive, so puppy would get plenty of regular exercise.

Brief description of our enviroment:
House with fully fenced back yard, we also have a dog/cat run for when they go outside, so they are safe from
anything that could be considered harmful to them. ie: snail bait or straying cats that like to attack smaller animals.

We have a Vet in Hallett Cove that we trust and have used for the past 30 years, they are wonderful with animals.

We aren't overly knowledgable about the breed, but do know they are a very intelligent, kid friendly, good natured, fun loving, and loyal.
My Aunty had one a few years ago, Odette, she was a beautiful little girl and we loved being able to see her and play with her and just
fell in love with her and the breed. She passed away about 3 years ago.

Apart from all the above, I really don't know what else to tell you except we need another loving 4 legged companion, to love and spoil and
be our baby.

As I mentioned in my first email, we are having one of our grandsons over the weekend and as he lives North of the city would love to be able
to come and view your puppies once we have dropped him back at his home and take home if possible the same day.

I became very suspicious when you ignored my questions about visiting your address Adelaide, then the change of story from you supposedly having a very ill son to all of sudden being in Cameroon with the pups there. And when I inquired about Australias strict quarantine laws, and if the pups would be going into quarantine and for how long, you pretty much ignored answering why and how you could send pups straight to my doorstep and avoid having to deal with the quarantine laws. If that isn't a warning of you trying to scam me plus undoubtedly a lot of other people, then something is wrong.

I have sent all correspondence between us to the above website and also informed the police about this scamming. So if I were you, I would try to find an honest way to earn money, instead of working to defraud innocent, caring people that only wish to be able to have a pet to love.

I am so relieved that my gut feelings proved to be correct, before I parted with any money as I now know there are no puppies, there never were any puppies. I am disgusted at how evil people like yourself and others doing this really are.

Ok, i understand what you mean about the Western Union i also tried to pay out money once and they also gave me a few cautions.You need not worry about that , they are just trying to play it safe as a general measure when it comes to using credit cards online. Well the Animal Movers are very reliable so you don't need to be worried ok. Attached to this email are some pictures of Boss sorry i thought i had already sent them to you. I would also advice you to have the payments done at a Western Union store and not online for it is even more expensive to send money online. Its much better at a Western Union store. In the email i sent i said if you are ok with the shipping then get back to me with your address and information, so when i saw the information i knew we where on track. You know am actually not selling Boss and Mimi, am giving them out on adoption and that is the reason the fee is that small. You best know how much we can get a Siberian Husky from a pet shop or local breeder. The reason we giving them out is because we leaving for Hawaii on the 15th and for some reasons we can't move along with them, can you imagine i would not be able to spend up to 3 hours daily with the puppies says my schedule, if i was to move with them. After doing some research online we found that the person we are sending the money to is a scammer and dont feel comfortable sending money to someone online who is a scammer. And will be marking this tho everything online as a scam as soon as this email is sent. Where everyone know it is a scam.

That was all from the guy we were suppose to get puppy from.

We never sent the money and dont plan on it. I did alot of research online and found it was a scam. If you read other post some of the wording is the same. :thumbup:
