There never was a dog of course and paying anybody you don't know via Western Union should never be done. Please post the email addresses the phony pet delivery agency and the scammer used.

Good thing i found this site when i did, i was about to get scammed!! If it sounds to good to be true it usually is and i'm glad i did my homework. So these people told me they were from Anchorage Alaska and that they were moving and had to get rid of the puppies blah blah blah... I caught on at the end when i started putting the pieces together. They kept saying they were a " Christian" family but their display name says "Yam Kippur" lol and if i'm not mistaking thats a jewish holiday... They told me i'd have to pay the deliver company but the delivery account was a westernunion account... and also they change the prices like 6 times.

The worst part is he still tried scamming me! Now he turned his scam in to a charity by saying he is only doing this for money to pay for his sick sons care. He didn't ask for money but he tried playing the pity card to see if I would give him a donation. My last email to him was a little cruel but I was angry for the people who lost their money to this person.

In case of confusion, I initially stated to him that I lived nearby and would like to pick up the puppy in person to get a reaction. The address given is not my current address, it is an old apartment address and I will probably delete part of it. <--Just an FYI

Also, the ads where the people claim to be from the U.S. or U.K. and reveal in the later email that they moved to another country: SCAM.

ME:You can only use the two services that cannot be contested in court or refunded when sent to another country from the United States. That is hilarious. How do people actually believe this scam. I am laughing at you. You're not even showing me an ounce of intelligence, how pathetic. I have known this was a scam all along. I have emailed the moderator of websites you use to sell other breeds of puppies and the snakes to get you off of the website. These emails being sent to me from you is the proof to show them. Try getting a job and not stealing other peoples money that they WORK for. Try it. You could be surprised how easy it can be.

Try learning something:

#1 You must be living in and have a valid address in the United States to register any dog with the AKC. Their registration requirements are listed on the website and you do not meet criteria to have any animal registered with the AKC. You also claimed to not be the original owner and the time you claimed you moved out of the country from Arizona and the dogs age you have given does not add up because it takes time for the AKC to register you and anyone moving would have filled out a change of address form and the AKC would resign any registration made. So, you're dumb.

#2 This change of ownership papers, you must be talking about microchip change of owner/address. This costs no more than 20 dollars. Pets don't have change of ownership papers in the sense you claim they do. The new owner can register the animal without the previous owner being involved. So, you're really dumb AND greedy.

#3 You're too stupid to make multiple accounts with different websites and use the same email as contact information to sell your scam. You're REALLY showing your stupidity there.

#4 I could go on and on about the job you claimed to have but I won't waste my time explaining that one as you're probably too stupid to understand the points I would make. Once again, you're dumb.

#5 Learn how to spell at the very least. You were only insulting yourself in every email with poor grammar and spelling. Good luck learning because I know it's hard for people as dumb as you.

There is a detailed example of how it goes and I hope you all ask enough questions before sending moneygram or western union payments to a foreign country. I don't think you really want to ship a puppy that far anyway, it's a little cruel in my opinion.

The only sickos are these Cameroon scammers. They even steal from their own people. The orphanage donation scam has been going on longer than I've been alive. My own grandparents donated every month to a charity until they found out more than 90% of their money was being pocketed. They didn't know which charity was legitimate and they stopped sending their hard earned money. That money could have and should have gone to help those children but instead someone ruined it for those poor kids. I know all about people living it up on what should be food on a child's plate. It disgusts me to no end.

I looked at that link and I truly hope the one making millions a year isn't selling real children. Stealing children to sell them is another big money maker.

I've seen people in poverty sell their organs for a few hundred dollars so they can feed their family and the operation is done by a unqualified surgeon. They get no post operative care AND never see a dime of that promised money.

so after messaging them back and forth with all my information they said they would send the dog first thing in the morning and to have the money ready for them ....unfortunately they got the better of me with there sad story and at 7:00am in the morning they told me to send them $260 from western union to Cameroon ..after i had sent it an hour later they asked for $1,000 for the shipping of the dog so at the time i just wanted it done and over with so made the order and after that my sister called me saying it was all a scam she found you website with all of the reviews and other stories ..so unfortunately i lost my $260 but called western union in time to stop the $1,000 transaction from going through right now i'm in the process of making a full report to the FBI about all of this and like to thank all of you for putting your stories up because you all just saved me from giving these con artists $1,000 of my money so thank you

Yeah, I fell for it too. Luckily I googled Cameroon puppies and ended up here! All the emails I received were from a supposed "Alicia Martinez" from the email address "prettyalicia23@yahoo.com". She also called me from the number 237-98618989. Here's the text from the emails she sent.

You should go through a breeder in your area for a dog, it seems like you can afford it. Most of the time people are scammed because they are told they can get a free dog from Africa for only the shipping or really cheap. Try searching for breeders in your area and go see the dogs in person. That way you can pick the personality type you are compatible with too. You should also search for what to look for with breeders, some of the dogs can be inbred and things like that. The breeder should always be able to prove to you the dogs are not. I hope you find the puppy you are looking for! If you need any help finding breeders in your area, I could make a list of them for you if you email me your location. I'd be more than happy to help. Personaly I would never go to a breeder, who are commercial entities selling a product, not a pet. There are plenty of pets that need good homes to be found in pounds, rescue centers and charity groups.

Unfortunately, it isn't always that simple. I am looking for a specific breed and I prefer a younger dog. The nearest rescue that has what I would be looking for is the next state over and if they cannot find someone to come out for the home check and maybe even a yearly home check, I wouldn't be considered. The only option for me if to wait for a rescue nearby to get a puppy I want and keep checking the humane societies. I tried going through rescues and there are multiple rescues and shelters that already have my application. I would consider another breed and even a mixed breed but I really have my heart set on one because I am familiar with the breed and there's the intense nostalgia. Breeders are the next option for me if I want the puppy anytime soon. I would rather go to a breeder than a pet store that sells puppy mill dogs. I prefer rescue dogs myself too. I wanted to adopt one that came to the rescue in terrible shape (sores, emaciated, loss of most hair, sickly from heart worn, etc.) and turns out that one is terminal and won't be up for adoption because of her heart problems. I completely agree with rescue/shelter dogs being ideal but it's not always as simple as making contact and getting the dog you want within a year of applying.

This goes without saying that when a breeder has been researched thoroughly, because there are responsible breeders out there, the buyer gets the opportunity to get the puppy he really wants with the health guarantees against commonly known diseases to the specific breed.

Shelters or rescues are the way to go, but a responsible pet owner should be able to make his own choice. :)

emailed and got a very nice reply back, asking for information such as - am I married, work routine, etc - similar to emails sent above, me thinking it sounded like a rescue centre close to where I like gave a very rough location of where about I live, and information that the puppy would be well looked (thankfully not my full address) thinking we could pop along to Dudley next week to see the pups - second email rang alarm bells, the person had to move out of Wolverhampton to the isle of man due to job commitments so we couldn't go to see them and would have to ship the puppies to me for a shipping fee of £120 - annoyed with myself because I'm possibly now on some scam email list but thankful it could have been worse if I had have sent some money - I really just want to put this person out as a warning to others. The email address used was susanbless1@hotmail.com I can't be 100% sure this is a scam as I never sent money to be scammed but I am 95% sure I would have been.

This is when my initial doubt started forming. I'm in India and this so called Lady was shipping a puppy from London... how can it cost ONLY $50?

I exchanged a couple of mails post this mail.. confirming the shipping cost and asking for the vet papers and fotos to be sent. After a whole week of exchanging emails, I did not receive any vet papers and snaps. After this mail and the fake call from Pet transport agency, I dropped a mail to the scammer, saying that I have come to realise that he/she is out to scam me and i will no longer be dealing with him/her. Also, taht I would be launching a formal complaint against him/her.

Hello I recently saw an add on pembina valley online. for 2 husky puppies, it said on the add they were located in our town, so we contacted them. Then they told us they had to ship the dogs from cameroon, and they were free but it would cost us $300 for shipping. I was immedently suspisus but my husband thought it was a legitimate animal resuce. so i googled cameroon and puppy and so many stories poped up all of people who had been scamed by these people. I responded to a local ad in the pennysaver for the cutest Rotweiler puppies. I got a response from this lady asking me all these questions (like she was so darn concerned her beloved pups were going to a nice home). Yeah right!
The whole time at first I thought she was 20 miles away until she started talking about shipping and airports and all. After I fumed a bit and got myself together I decided to play with her a bit. I quickly googled St Helens region Camaroon and it told me it was near Vancouver. (I know now it's in Africa somewhere I guess). But i e-mailed her back and said " Oh my goodness.. My brother lives in vancouver! He could come pick the puppy up and just bring him to me! He's coming for a visit anyway! Did not hear another word from her the rest of the night. I then e-mailed her a scathing ugly message and told her/him off good. Nothing.... then today I got an e-mail from her again and she didn't mention my last two messages. Except to tell me they were no where near vancouver. Still insisting I am the perfect one for her babies and I just need to send her 300.00 and tell her closest airport. I just e-mailed her back to tell her if she will tell me who the shipping company is and phone.. I will contact them myself as my brother is a pilot for American Airlines.. (he's actually a plumber!) I can get her "baby" shipped for free! I said " Isn't that great news??!!" I haven't heard back..mmmmm.... People like this who try to scam hard working people out of their hard earned money makes me sooo mad!! God has a special place for these heartless bottom feeders!

i was looking for how much a siberian husky puppy would cost so i could save up to get my partner one a gift.
i found a site where it was advertising one as free to good home, but it said it was local to me.
when i contacted the 'seller' he told me he was in California and he would pay to have the dog shipped to me so i agreed.
it wasnt until a week later when i was contacted by the 'pet transportation service' that they told me i needed to pay £70 for the dogs flight ticket and as i thought the 'seller' was paying it i didnt have the money so had to take out a loan to pay for it.
they then rang me and gave me an arrival time that the puppy would be delivered to me, so i waited and waited and e-mailed them to find outwhere this dog was, to be told that the dog wasnt covered by international travel insurance. and was asked to pay a further £425 which was apparently refundable. i managed to get that amount down to £200 and was then sent an e-mail with her apparent flight details on - but no flight number so i couldnt track her.
when she didnt arrive when expected a second time, i contacted them again and was told that the puppy was very ill and very weak and i needed to give them another £150 to cover a vaccination so she would be fit to travel - which i did not pay.
i know this may sound nasty but as i then saw it for what it really was (scam) i told them either send me my dog without any more hassle, or if she really is as ill as you claim she is then have her put down and refund me my money (the poorly pup bit was only this morning - results on that still pending)

This is becoming quite usual for the Cameroon pet scammers and may be attributed to their frustration at losing out on stealing your money. These threats are to be considered as "real" as the puppy that doesn't exist.

where i found a lovely husky pup, so i emailed the persons ad and he was very nice sent me lots of information about the pup an pictures, he told me he lived in kirkwall in scotland and as i live in merseyside it would be easer to get the pup delievered to me by pet courier the dog was going to cost me 300pounds and 50 pound delivery, i sent the money to him using a money gram from the post office useing a password that he had told me to use.
i got phone calls every hour explaining where the dog was. when the dog had got into glasgow they rang me again and told me i had to pay another 1000 pound for insurance but i then started getting worried and told him i dont have that type of money an said ' you had said that was all i had to pay was 350 pound'.

Threats such as these are a common tactic of scammers. They are in Cameroon which is very far from you. They are not in a position to carry out such threats and the only purpose is to scare you into paying them. Simply ignore them. I didn't know how to post without replying, so I posted in reply to "unregistered". I wanted to adopt a puppy in Mexico, so I signed up to one of Mexico's pet shop adoption links. It was to adopt a pug, and in Spanish. So at first they identified as RSPCA, with local offices in the UK, and an obvious fake number. So I replied that how much it would be for it, and they responded that the price for the ticket was 90 us dollars. So I contacted the website of the organization http://www.rspca.org.uk/home and they said that they did not know of any organization in Cameroon. So, I wrote back to rspcaanimalrescue@gmail.com, and told them that the original organization had no knowledge of them and that I was no longer interested, to which they simply replied with this link rspca.tk, which is obviously a fake free website that has copy/paste all over it, and that has links which you cannot access, so please beware.

I also got scammed recently by someone in Cameroon her email is sweetnaddy007@live.com i sent her the money for my puppies to be shipped to me she took my money and i didnt recieve any puppies at all and now she wont email me back at all, and if she do she is using inapprepriate behavior and language. I know i will never get my money back but i want to stop this lady before she gets someone else. I cant even press charges cause i live in Canada!!!
