Government seizure membership scam??

I was looking to buy some property (car, home) that was seized by the government. Every website that I go to that supposedly has government seized property at up to 90% off wants you to join a membership and of course pay a fee. That sounds like a scam to me? I would appreciate any feedback as to if you agree with me. I would think you could find these auctions without paying some kind of membership fee. Thanks!!

Catalogues are usually advertised at a cost, but can be obtained free in Federal building, that would entail looking for an address to where Government agencies reside. The lobbies of these buildings always have a bulletin board with flyers and all kinds of opportunities listed. Don't give anyone money and don't send any money either, not without total confirmation and a face you can identify and trust. - McSeven
