Call 13 11 14 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak to a telephone counsellor who can also refer you to other organisations - they have one of the best lists of resources of any group in the country.

They also have local centres throughout Australia including regional areas that you can visit. Find one located near you here -

These people are the first people I would recommend calling when looking for help in Australia as they can usually point you in the right direction.

Additionally, Australians may find http://www.scamwatch.gov.au useful. The site is run by the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce and contains some valuable warnings and tips.
